Yeouido IFC Mall mild set after hotel afternoon tea: Hyeonseonine
In short
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a Korean snack restaurant (bunsik) on basement level 2 of IFC Mall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, near The Hyundai Seoul. On the way to a performance, the writer ordered the Hyeonseoni Set (23,000 won) at the mildest spice level and ate tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sundae (blood sausage) with liver and lung, crispy fried snacks and fish cake soup. The set was exactly what a palate needed after a rich hotel afternoon tea, and ordering the set rather than single dishes proved the most satisfying choice.

What kind of place is Hyeonseonine Premium on basement level 2 of Yeouido IFC Mall?
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a snack restaurant on basement level 2 of IFC Mall, 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It's open weekdays 11:00–21:00 and weekends 12:00–21:00, with last order at 20:40.

I stopped by on my way to see a show and exhibition in Yeouido — I'd been craving tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) so much lately, haha. The tteokbokki and the sundae (blood sausage) liver here are genuinely so good. This place is pretty famous, which is why I went, and I liked that it's near The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido.
I ordered the Hyeonseoni Set — tteokbokki, sundae, fried snacks, mini gimbap (seaweed rice roll) — for 23,000 won.

Inside Hyeonseonine Premium: seating and table spacing
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch has a nice, spacious layout. The tables are well spaced and the place itself feels hygienic, which I appreciated :)

It was quiet and clean, which I liked. There was also extra space right outside, so it felt comfortable to eat there. Whenever I've had an afternoon tea set at a hotel and feel too full of rich flavors, this is exactly the menu I crave, haha. The price was fair and the portions were generous. The set menu is definitely the better way to go, I think.

It was a bit past lunchtime, but customers kept coming in.

Hyeonseonine Premium set menus and the self-serve bar
I liked that there were so many menu options, and I especially loved the sundae liver, haha. The set menus let you try a bit of everything, which I like even more, so I always end up ordering a set. This place is also famous for its instant tteokbokki and fried rice, but I always end up with the combo set, haha — it just suits my taste more. Though I think the instant tteokbokki is originally the more famous item here.

There's a self-serve bar so you can grab extras yourself. This is my favorite set menu! It was really delicious here too — I've liked other branches, but this one was great as well!!

How the mildest Hyeonseoni Set (23,000 won) tasted
The Hyeonseoni Set comes with tteokbokki, sundae, fried snacks, and mini gimbap for 23,000 won. The tteokbokki spice level is adjustable, and I went with the mildest option, haha.

The gimbap was soft and crumbly and delicious. The combination overall was really great.

I also got to try the lung here, and it was chewy and tasty. Still, I think the liver is my favorite :)

The fried snacks weren't soggy at all — nice and crispy, which I loved!

Eating the fish cake soup alongside everything made it even better. A flavor I'd want to have again.

Who should eat at Hyeonseonine Premium in IFC Mall?
Great if you want a variety of light bites. It's a soul food spot for women — if you're nearby, give it a try :)
