In short

A gukbap favorite right by Seokchon Lake, open 24 hours — this is my story about Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch.

Hi there! It's Happy Sunny =) My friend and I were trying to figure out what to eat for a quick lunch before parting ways in Seoul, so we headed to a 24-hour gukbap place near Jamsil Station, easy to reach by bus or subway either way. It's open 24 hours so you can drop by whenever, and there's parking front and back too, so it's really convenient. Today I'm introducing Boseung Hoegwan, a Bangi-dong favorite for sundaeguk and gukbap >,<
Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch hours and parking
Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch is open 24 hours at 101 Ogeum-ro, 1st floor, Songpa-gu, Seoul, right across from Seokchon Lake. Best of all, there's parking both in front of and behind the store.

I went to Lotte Mall near Jamsil Station yesterday and the parking fee was honestly insane. So all I could think was, where does everyone park when they eat around Jamsil Station? Turns out Boseung Hoegwan, this Bangi-dong favorite, has lots front and back. Parking spots like that are really rare around here, so it already gets a pass from me just for that. 👏🏻

It's a 24-hour sundaeguk and gukbap spot right in front of Seokchon Lake, so if you're on a late-night date and get hungry, you can totally swing by on your way!
A group table for 15, solo window seats, and baby chairs
Inside, Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch has 2- and 4-tops plus window seats for 1–2 people, and further inside there's a separate row of connected group seating. At noon, a group of 15 walked right in and took it over.

We got there right before lunchtime, and there were already quite a few people eating. Since it's open 24 hours, customers seem to come in whenever without worrying about timing. The inside is spacious with tables set well apart — the 2-tops, 4-tops, and the window seats for 1–2 looked really good for eating solo too.

There's also a row of connected group seating further inside, and right at noon, a bunch of office workers came pouring in asking if a table for 15 was ready. If you're planning a group visit, I'd recommend calling ahead.

There are baby chairs too, so no worries even if you're visiting with kids as a family!
What's on the menu at Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch, and what we ordered
The menu at Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch includes gukbap, haejangguk (hangover soup), haejang ramyeon, badger soup, and samgyetang, plus sides like fire-grilled meat, sundae, dumplings, sliced boiled pork, and pollack salad. We ordered the sundae pork jowl set and the pork jowl gukbap set.

The menu at this Bangi-dong favorite includes gukbap, haejangguk, haejang ramyeon, badger soup, and samgyetang. Extra sides you can order include fire-grilled meat, sundae, dumplings, sliced boiled pork, and pollack salad. Since it's open 24 hours, there are even drinking-snack style dishes for a late-night meal with a drink.

The pork jowl set is only available for 2 or more people, so we ordered the sundae pork jowl set and the pork jowl gukbap set! There's also a Naver receipt review event where you get one free drink — highly recommended if you can't live without soda >,<
Want no seasoning paste or perilla powder? Say so before ordering
The gukbap at Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch comes with seasoning sauce and perilla powder by default. If you don't want them, you need to mention it before ordering.

Apparently the gukbap served by default at this gukbap favorite near Jamsil Station and Seokchon Lake comes with seasoning sauce and perilla powder mixed in. If you don't like perilla and spicy sauce, you have to say so before ordering!

The basic side dishes were diced radish kimchi, fresh cabbage kimchi, chives, and salted shrimp. The kimchi was so refreshing and spicy — totally my style bb
The sundae and pork jowl set: 8 pieces of sundae plus pork jowl
The sundae pork jowl set comes with a light basic broth and eight pieces of sundae (blood sausage), of various kinds. You warm it slightly over a burner before eating.

This is the pork jowl served before the gukbap arrived. It sits in a light basic broth, and the sundae comes in eight pieces of various kinds.

You put it on the burner and simmer it just enough to warm through before eating. The sundae was so chewy — the skin was chewy, the glass noodles inside were chewy, totally my style..😃

The moist boiled pork jowl comes with chives on the side — pile them on and dip in wasabi soy sauce. I never knew chives could smell this fragrant... This combo is dangerous with day drinking, haha. If there's someone drunk at Seokchon Lake in the middle of the afternoon, that person is me.
Pork jowl gukbap: generous with meat and rice
My friend ordered sundae gukbap, and I ordered pork jowl gukbap. The pork jowl gukbap at Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch smells nutty from the perilla powder, and it's generous with both the meat and the packed bowl of rice.
They looked pretty similar so I'll just introduce the pork jowl gukbap. Served bubbling hot in a stone bowl, it smelled nutty right away, probably from the perilla powder.

It comes out bubbling with a spoonful of seasoning sauce mixed in — just stir it in well. The amount of meat was seriously generous. It felt like a bowl of gukbap you could keep eating and never finish! And the rice was packed down so firmly I understood right away why people keep coming back in groups. The generosity here really overflows ~~ (●ˇ∀ˇ●)
Final verdict on Boseung Hoegwan Bangi Branch

Today I had sundaeguk, gukbap, and pork jowl for lunch at Boseung Hoegwan, a 24-hour Bangi-dong favorite right by Seokchon Lake near Jamsil Station, and it was filling enough to last through dinner! If you're visiting Jamsil, I recommend Boseung Hoegwan — a 24-hour spot you can drop by anytime, no pressure at all!
