Shabu-shabu date in Bokhyeon-dong, Daegu with fried chicken: Shabu20
In short
Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch is an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant on Gonghang-ro in Buk-gu, Daegu, where meat, vegetables, sides, drinks and even draft beer are all included in one price. On this date, a couple started with a half-and-half broth of katsuobushi and spicy stock, refilled the dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken) several times, and worked through rice paper rolls, draft beer and ice cream. Weekday lunch is 22,900 won per adult, and after trying plenty of other shabu-shabu buffets this couple still ranks Shabu20 first for its fresh vegetables and fried chicken.

My boyfriend and I both really love shabu-shabu, so we've been trying out a bunch of the new shabu-shabu places popping up lately! But out of all the shabu-shabu restaurants out there, my favorite is still Shabu20...🤍
The vegetables are always fresh and there's plenty to eat, but you all know this place is famous for its fried chicken, right? Haha. This time we went to Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch, and it even has unlimited draft beer...I couldn't resist! Ready to stuff ourselves again today, let's go~ ><

Where is Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch, and its hours and parking

And there's a separate parking lot here, which is great~ When you go for shabu-shabu you tend to sit for a while, so not having to worry about parking is the best, haha.
How much is the all-you-can-eat price at Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch?

For adults it's ₩22,900 for weekday lunch, and ₩26,900 for weekday dinner, weekends and holidays. When you think that meat, shabu-shabu vegetables, sides, drinks and even draft beer are all unlimited, the lineup is really generous 🍺

The Bokhyeon branch has a pretty spacious interior too! Lots of seats, and the self-bar sits right in the middle, so as soon as we found a table we went straight over to check out the food~

Half-and-half broth and the vegetable self-bar at Shabu20
At Shabu20 you can have two broths at once, so we went with half-and-half (katsuobushi/spicy). Shabu-shabu time, let's start~!

One of the reasons I love Shabu20 is the vegetables! I've been to a lot of shabu-shabu places, but every time I come here, the vegetables are genuinely in great shape.
Bok choy, napa cabbage, mushrooms and more, piled high with everything I wanted 🌱 Shabu-shabu only tastes good if the vegetables are fresh...you know what I mean? Hahaha.
And of course the meat is unlimited too~! If you run out while eating, no need to feel awkward, just go get as much as you want. Unlimited refills are a dangerous word for the two of us...why? Because we're a couple of piggies, hehe;

Shabu20's dakgangjeong: the fried chicken a couple grabs before the shabu-shabu
But have you all tried Shabu20's fried chicken (dakgangjeong)? Whenever I come to Shabu20, I grab the fried chicken before the shabu-shabu broth has even boiled, haha. Seriously, why is the fried chicken here so good...The person refilling fried chicken at a shabu-shabu restaurant = me.
Both the soy sauce and the seasoned versions are amazing...!!!!!! I really did come here for shabu-shabu, but I have to save room for the fried chicken too 🤍

And besides the fried chicken, there's also a solid lineup of sides like tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cakes), fried rice and pasta. So instead of just eating shabu-shabu the whole time, it's fun to grab a bite of something different in between, haha.

We also made our own sauces to taste and set everything up neatly for ourselves~!
Now let's really dig in 🤍 Loading up on vegetables and plenty of meat, and simmering it all together~!
Since shabu-shabu isn't grilled meat but eaten together with vegetables, somehow it feels less guilty even when you stuff yourself...right? Haha. I overate again today, but at least in spirit, my diet was a success^^

Can't skip the rice paper rolls (fresh spring rolls) either~ Meat and vegetables wrapped up, dipped in sauce, one big bite and it's just unbeatable 🤍
Unlimited draft beer at Shabu20, included at no extra charge
And is this even real~~~~~!!! Unlimited draft beer 🍺 Not even an extra charge, it's included in the Shabu20 price...!!!!!!!

With unlimited draft beer, how could we not try it 🍺 Taking a cool sip in the middle of eating shabu-shabu pairs surprisingly well, haha.

For those who don't drink beer, there's a whole range of soft drinks too! You know how a sip of soda after shabu-shabu magically makes room for more...haha.
We said we were stuffed, but you still have to finish with dessert!!! Ice cream to wrap it all up properly 🤍

Is Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch worth a second date?
There was a reason I loved this place after all 🤍 So many shabu-shabu restaurants have opened lately, but Shabu20 is still my favorite.
Fresh vegetables, plenty to eat from meat to sides, plus the fried chicken I love and unlimited draft beer 🍺 We stuffed ourselves properly once again, haha. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu in Bokhyeon-dong, Daegu, I recommend Shabu20 Daegu Bokhyeon branch!
