Allegro is a live jazz Italian restaurant on the 3rd floor of 57-1 Olympic-ro 32-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It's open 12:00-23:00, closed Tuesdays, with break time from 15:00-18:00 and last order at 21:30.

We went on a date to Jamsil last weekend to catch Odyssey at the movies. While looking for a restaurant with good vibes, we found Allegro. We had delicious food, watched a jazz show, and had such a great time 🖤

How to walk to Allegro from Songpanaru Station

Allegro is really close, just a 4-minute walk from Songpanaru Station. It's also about 10 minutes from the main street of Songridan-gil, so it's a good stop after a walk around Seokchon Lake.

You go in through this entrance, take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, and there's Allegro.

Inside Allegro: seating for the jazz show

Once inside, the hall was bigger than I expected. The black tables paired with the windows looked so pretty..🤍 The black-and-white modern interior was lovely.

This is where the live show happens. As is typical for jazz bars, most tables are for two, and the seats all face forward so you can watch the show comfortably.

The live show runs from 7:30 to 9, which is the perfect time slot for a drink and a show in the evening.

The perfect feeling for an anniversary ✨ Actually it was about 2 weeks before our own anniversary (we kind of forced the excuse).

Allegro's menu and the 15% lunch discount

You can easily order from the tablet placed at each table.

The menu has a variety of Italian dishes like salads, pasta, and steaks. If you visit for lunch (12pm-3pm), you get a 15% discount too. There's a separate wine menu as well.

Peroni draft beer and whiskey on the rocks at Allegro

The bread served first. It came out warm and toasted, nutty and delicious.

Peroni draft beer, ₩10,000. It had a clean finish. The glass was slim and so pretty too.

Probably Balvenie..! The whiskey my boyfriend ordered. When you order whiskey, they give you the bottle and a big ice cube separately, so you can drink it straight or on the rocks however much you like — such a nice touch.

Prosciutto potato salad, amatriciana and pork neck steak

Prosciutto potato salad, ₩18,000. A perfect appetizer. Sun-dried tomatoes, potato, and prosciutto ham on top of a cream cheese sauce gave a harmonious salty-and-soft-sweet balance. According to the menu description, it's a Piedmont-style salad.

Beautiful..

Amatriciana, ₩19,000. A slightly spicy tomato pasta 🍝 The perfectly al dente Andante noodles and the guanciale (cured pork cheek) inside were the kicker.

Speed pork neck steak, ₩33,000. It was extra tasty, maybe because it's domestic pork neck! Crispy outside and juicy inside (crispy-outside, juicy-inside perfection). The fries were freshly fried and so good too. Especially dipping the meat and fries in that pepper cream sauce is fantastic..!

Loaded up with sauce for a bite like this, yum 😋

Is Allegro worth it as a Jamsil date course?

The jazz show unfolding right in front of us made the atmosphere even better. It's the perfect date course to enjoy in Jamsil. Allegro nailed both — it's a Songpa favorite restaurant plus a jazz bar, delicious Italian food and a live show all in one.🤍

A restaurant with atmosphere and a Lotte Tower view, where you can eat delicious pasta and steak while watching a live show — such an emotional place. I highly recommend Allegro as a date spot in Jamsil!!
