Sunae body massage for trapezius knots: 90-minute dry course, Terra
In short
Terra is a one-person body care studio in the Daemyeong Zest building in Sunae, Bundang-gu, Seongnam. The visit started with a condition consultation, an EMS foot bath and a foot massage, then a 90-minute dry massage covering the calves, neck, back, shoulders and stomach for tight trapezius and shoulder muscles. Terra's room is clean and fully private, and the writer slept deeply that night.

Lately my trapezius keeps riding up and my whole body just feels tired, so I visited Terra in Sunae partly to get some healing in! My neck and shoulders tend to get tight anyway, so this time I really wanted proper body-focused care haha.

Terra is located in unit 121 of Daemyeong Zest Sangga, and the storefront stands out enough that I found it faster than expected.

There's a CU convenience store nearby, so if it's your first visit, using the CU as a landmark should make it easier to find.

The moment I walked in, the whole place looked neatly organized. With massage shops, space and hygiene are always a concern, so a clean first impression was a relief.
The condition check consultation before the massage
Terra didn't jump straight into the massage — they first checked my sleep hours, usual body concerns, and whatever was bothering me at the moment. In my case, I talked about neck and shoulder tension and trapezius tightness before the treatment began.

Before treatment, they went through everything in detail — sleep hours, usual body concerns, current discomfort. Rather than jumping right into the massage, checking my current condition first made the whole thing feel a bit more thorough.

After the consultation, I moved straight to the changing room!
Terra's private changing room and what's provided
Since Terra is a one-person studio, I got to use the changing room by myself comfortably. The storage area even had hair ties, a hair dryer, and other essentials ready.

The changing space overall was kept really tidy, and there was plenty of storage for clothes and belongings. Being a one-person shop meant I didn't have to worry about anyone else, which made it feel private in a nice way haha.

Everything needed before and after the massage — hair ties, hair dryer, and more — was all set up and ready.

Even the change of clothes came individually packaged neatly, which I personally appreciated since it's fabric that touches your skin directly.
EMS foot bath and foot massage first
Before the full treatment, they started with an EMS foot bath. They served warm tea alongside it too, so it already felt like a healing mood before the massage even began.

Once I got into the treatment room, they had warm tea ready for me. The massage hadn't even started and it was already healing time lol.
Then before the real treatment began, they started with an EMS foot bath. It's a method where your feet soak in warm water while you feel subtle electric stimulation at the same time — light pulses hit the feet and calves, and it felt like my body loosened up a bit even before the treatment started. Personally it was quite relaxing. It wasn't a strong sensation, more like gentle tapping pulses, which was kind of fascinating haha.
After the foot bath, they dried my feet thoroughly and gave a quick foot massage on top. It felt like careful attention from the very start!

The actual treatment room was also clean and set up privately. Being able to relax alone meant there was nothing to feel tense about in the middle of it — it really felt like total rest.
The 90-minute dry massage, from calves to stomach
The treatment I received at Terra that day was the 90-minute dry massage. It covered everything overall — calves, neck, back, shoulders, and even the stomach, all done dry.

I've usually only had neck- or shoulder-focused massages before, so getting the stomach worked so thoroughly was practically a first for me. The stomach area felt a little unfamiliar at first, but afterward my body warmed up and I felt noticeably more relaxed overall.

Personally, the best part was definitely the neck, back, and shoulders! My trapezius has been constantly stiff lately, so having the neck all the way through the back worked out thoroughly felt amazing the entire time. Especially my back — I usually don't even know where I'm tight, but having each spot worked out one by one was so satisfying haha. I went home after the treatment feeling completely loose, and I genuinely slept like a baby that night lol.
Is Terra in Sunae worth a return visit?
My neck and shoulders have been getting tight often lately and I've felt tired overall, but slowly getting worked on for 90 minutes felt like I got properly rested. The space was clean and private, and everything from the consultation to the treatment was thorough — personally, my satisfaction level was high.
Honestly, this is a massage shop I'd want to pay for and go back to on my own dime haha.
