Gangnam hair salon keratin repair treatment: Park Jun Beauty Lab

As I’ve been growing my hair out lately, I’ve become much more interested in taking care of it. The farther down toward the ends, the more damaged it seemed to feel. So I went for the RE-BORN repair clinic at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch, near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam :) 💇🏻♀️✨

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is really close to Sinnonhyeon Station, so it was easy to visit by public transportation. Just about a five-minute walk after getting off at the station :)

It is on the second floor. When I first walked in, the bright, airy feel and floor-to-ceiling windows were what stood out at Park Jun Beauty Lab ✨

Consultation on my hair condition before the treatment

First, they gave me welcome tea and carefully checked the condition of my hair. I was especially impressed that they went over everything: what treatments I’d had before, my current hair condition, the style I wanted, and where I wanted to go from here :)

👀 Then I spotted something familiar during the consultation. That’s the treatment I use at home right now! I have the big tub, haha. It was nice to see, and it also made me think, ah, Park Jun Beauty Lab really is known for hair and treatment care 👏

They also gave me snacks and a drink. I chose sweet iced tea :) There was even a little note written for me on the cup 💕 Thank you for welcoming me, too.

RE-BORN repair clinic price and why I chose it

The RE-BORN repair clinic costs ₩300,000, plus ₩30,000 extra for length. I heard that this RE-BORN repair clinic helps tame frizz while minimizing damage to the hair. Apparently, it used to be called the Cinderella Clinic, too.

Without an emulsification step, they apply plenty of keratin and use relatively low heat at 150–160°C to help the keratin adhere inside the hair. It is said to cause less damage and last about two months 🙌 Rather than keeping the slight perm I still had, I decided on the RE-BORN repair clinic so my hair texture could look more polished!

RE-BORN repair clinic treatment process

Step 1: Shampoo

They started with shampooing to get my hair clean and ready before the treatment, and there was one small detail I quietly loved. They use disposable towels! Since towels get used so often at a salon, I liked that they paid attention to hygiene like this, too :)

Step 2: New Keratin application

After shampooing, they carefully applied New Keratin all through my hair. They applied it so thoroughly like this :)

After the application, there was time to dry it like this.

Step 3: Heat styling

Once the heat processing was done, they dried my hair and moved on to heat styling with a flat iron. It had been such a long time since I’d used one. Oh, steam, haha. They separated my hair into small sections and straightened every strand so carefully.

Another thing that stood out was that, unlike other places where there is a shampooing step, they went straight into the heat styling here without shampooing.

Ta-da, this is how it turned out :) It felt like I’d had my hair straightened 👀✨ My hair texture looks so much calmer, right? 🤍
