Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch
On a weekend I went on a date in Pangyo with my partner and stopped by Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch, a well-known Indian restaurant nearby. The vibe and the food were both so good today that I wanted to introduce it as a Bundang date spot :)
Parking and visitor info at Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch
🚗 Parking info Parking is available on basement level 1, and if you register your car at the restaurant you get 2 free hours. The restaurant itself is right there on B1 as soon as you come out of the parking area, so it was easy to find.
Kari has received 9 Blue Ribbons, and it was selected again for the Blue Ribbon in 2026. It's also registered as a Seongnam City Model Restaurant.

There's currently a promotion running for 10% off and a free roti on takeout orders, and there's no break time even on weekdays, so you can visit whenever without worrying about timing.
What is the restaurant like inside?
🖤 Calm, upscale interior Inside Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch, black and wood come together for an overall calm, upscale feel. Even though we arrived for a late lunch, the place was already packed, with only a table or two left..! Besides the main hall there are also private rooms, which looked great for enjoying a date or a family gathering privately.
In the center of the main hall there's a Lego Taj Mahal, which makes for a nice focal point and is kind of cute honestly haha.

By the time we were almost done eating, most guests had left, so I took some photos of the interior — it's spacious with generous spacing between tables, which made me think it'd be great to visit as a Bundang date spot.

Kari menu and couple set price
📖 So many options! Once we sat down, they brought over cutlery, plates, the menu, and pu-erh tea.

The brunch course runs from 11 AM to 3 PM, and there's also a Kari couple set and family set, so you can enjoy a bunch of dishes course-style.

Curries, biryani, naan, rice, appetizers, salads — the menu really is varied.

Ordering is done via the QR code on each table, and since there were two of us, we ordered the Kari Couple Set for ₩56,000. It included pakora, shrimp salad, half tandoori chicken, butter naan, garlic naan, butter chicken curry, mango lassi, strawberry lassi, and dessert.
They're also running a Naver receipt review event right now, so it's worth leaving a photo review to get a lassi.

Shrimp salad and lassi
🥗 Shrimp salad The Kari couple set came out course-style, one dish at a time, and the shrimp salad came first. It had tomato, shrimp, and lettuce piled with plenty of ricotta cheese, plus an Indian-style sauce. The sauce wasn't harsh at all — tangy, with a subtle hint of spice flavor.

The plump shrimp, soft ricotta, and crunchy vegetables went really well together and whetted the appetite nicely. The staff explained each dish one by one, and they were so kind that it felt like being treated at a fine-dining restaurant :)
🥭 Sweet mango lassi & strawberry lassi Mango lassi and strawberry lassi came out together too. The fermented tang typical of lassi wasn't overpowering, so it was easier to drink than I expected. The mango lassi was sweet and smooth, and the strawberry lassi was sweet-tart — both paired well with the food :)

How the tandoori chicken and herb salt chicken taste
🍗 Tandoori chicken Next came the tandoori chicken and herb salt chicken. The tandoori chicken had a subtle char and spice aroma on the surface, and the meat inside was moist and tender. The signature tandoori spice flavor wasn't too strong or salty — just right, so it was easy to eat without any heaviness.

The herb salt chicken had a gentle smoky aroma with a clean, savory-salty flavor. Dipping it into the mango sauce on the side added a sweet, refreshing twist — a whole different vibe! It was so good I thought I'd order tandoori chicken alone next time haha.

Pakora
This was my first time trying pakora, which is Indian-style fried vegetables. It came out freshly fried, crispy outside and soft inside. Nutty and light, it made a great appetizer before the curry.

Working through the dishes one by one, we were already getting full lol. And we hadn't even gotten to the naan and curry yet.

Butter chicken curry with butter naan and garlic naan
Main event! Butter chicken curry and naan Finally, the main dishes arrived — butter chicken curry, butter naan, and garlic naan!

First off, the size of the naan surprised me lol. Much bigger than I expected. The butter naan was nutty and soft, and the garlic naan had a subtle garlic aroma with a nice chewy texture.
Dipping the naan deep into the curry — yep, that combo is unbeatable.
The butter chicken curry had a smooth, creamy texture with a gentle hint of spice, and the tomato and butter flavors blended just right without being overpowering. Best of all, there was a generous amount of chicken in the curry.

The curry also stayed warm throughout, so we got to enjoy that rich, warm flavor right to the end. Even one naan alone would fill you up, but with the generous curry portion too, it was plenty for two!
Yogurt ice cream to finish
We finished with yogurt ice cream. It was tangy and refreshing, so even on a full stomach it wasn't heavy, and it felt like it cleaned the palate nicely after the rich curry and naan :)
Is Kari worth it for a date in Bundang?
💛 Overall verdict The staff were really kind and the atmosphere was calm and upscale, making Kari a great choice as a Bundang date spot. Every dish was delicious and the portions were generous enough that ordering just one couple set for two left us completely full. If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere Indian restaurant in Jeongja, Kari is worth a visit as a Bundang date spot :)
