I was looking for dinner in Pangyo and had a craving for tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet), so I headed to Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch. I visited around 7pm on a Saturday, and the place was more relaxed than I expected — no wait at all. Parking is available near Pangyo Station, so it's an easy spot whether you're eating alone or bringing the whole family :)
Where is Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, and is there parking?

Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch is close to Pangyo Station and sits across from Pangyo Hyundai Department Store, so it's very easy to get to.

Using the building's basement parking lot gets you 3 hours of free parking, and you just self-register on your way out — very convenient.
A Blue Ribbon tonkatsu restaurant in Pangyo

There's a Blue Ribbon sticker right at the entrance, so it caught my eye immediately. The restaurant was bigger and cleaner than I expected!

Besides regular tables, there's also a separate area good for sitting alone,

which made it look like a solid solo-dining spot in Pangyo.
They also had a baby chair ready, so it seemed comfortable for families with kids too. When I visited at 7pm on Saturday, the tables weren't full, so I could eat at ease.
Table setting at Katsu Shokudo: small thoughtful touches
Once I sat down, the table setup was pretty interesting. Beyond the basics like pink salt and sauces,

there was even dental floss and a hair tie ready. Little things like these might seem minor, but they actually come in handy while eating — I thought it was a nice touch haha.

There was also a guide on how to enjoy tonkatsu, so I snapped a photo of it. You start by eating it plain, then try it with salt, wasabi, and so on, one at a time.
Katsu Shokudo menu and prices

The menu was a lot more varied than I expected. On top of tonkatsu, there's curry, rice bowls, udon, soba and more, so it shouldn't be hard to find something even with a group. We ordered exactly what we were craving that day.
We both ordered single dishes, and they came with rice, salad, soup and curry, which was plenty for a full meal.
Fillet katsu, 16,000 won

First up, the fillet katsu!
The breading was crispy, and the meat inside was tender and juicy.

It's tasty even plain, but personally I liked it best dipped lightly in salt. A little wasabi on top went well with it too.
Curry comes on the side, and dipping the tonkatsu into it here and there gave it a totally different vibe, which kept it from getting boring. What surprised me most while eating was a subtle yuzu aroma throughout! It wasn't overly strong — just came through faintly now and then — but it went surprisingly well with the tonkatsu. It also seemed to cut some of the richness.
Mozzarella cheese katsu, 16,000 won

And then, the one that was genuinely delicious that day — the mozzarella cheese katsu! The moment you cut into it, the cheese stretches out, and it kept stretching well all the way to the last piece haha.

The amount of cheese was generous too, so cheese katsu lovers should be satisfied.

The breading was crispy and the inside was packed with cheese — eating it while hot was really good.
Since it's got cheese in it, it worked better alternated with wasabi, salt, or curry rather than eating it plain the whole way through. The fillet katsu was tasty too, but between the two, the cheese katsu was the one that stuck with me more.

Katsu Shokudo Pangyo: is it worth a visit?
Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch was relaxed even on a Saturday evening when I visited, and the 3-hour parking support made things easy. Above all, the tonkatsu was crispy yet tender, and the subtle yuzu aroma paired better than I expected. The cheese katsu in particular was the standout dish, with cheese stretching all the way to the last bite. If you're looking for tonkatsu near Pangyo Station or a lunch spot in Pangyo, Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch is worth a visit :)
