Nampo-dong sushi restaurant sharing three sets: Moshi Moshi Sushi

My mom, my sister and I went to Lotte Department Store Gwangbok to buy a blanket for our little one 👶🏻 and since there's a sushi restaurant everyone raves about at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, we ate our hearts out and brought back a review — haha!

Weekday evening: atmosphere and how long the wait was
We visited on a weekday evening and it was already pretty crowded.
Being inside a department store, the interior was very clean and upscale.
As soon as we ordered, they started making the sushi right in front of us.
If there's a wait, you can line up at the entrance. It looked like weekends see waiting lines.
What's in the 29,000-won Moshi Moshi sashimi set

8 pieces of sushi + 3 pieces of tempura + udon + vegetable salad + tofu salad + sashimi — a really substantial spread.
The 8 sushi pieces were salmon, white fish, octopus, shrimp, scallop, inari (fried tofu pocket) sushi and squid, and the sashimi came as 4 kinds, 2 pieces each, for 8 pieces total, to eat alongside.
The set was really hearty and generous. The sashimi was chewy and fresh too.
The 16,000-won albap set (roe over rice)

This came with roe rice + soy-marinated salmon + udon + vegetable salad + tofu salad, and the roe rice was served piping hot in a stone pot, just enough to form a bit of crispy scorched rice at the bottom. The roe rice was loaded generously with roe too. A side of soy-marinated salmon came with the set as well.
Assorted sushi set B, 23,000 won, ordered without udon

Assorted sushi set B came with 10 pieces of assorted sushi + 3 pieces of tempura + vegetable salad + tofu salad, with no udon in this one. Since we were ordering 3 sets to share among the three of us, we deliberately chose this udon-free option so we'd get more sushi instead.
The sushi in set B was even more generous and delicious — made up of pricier picks like white fish, salmon, tuna, shrimp, eel and beef.
So appetizing — haha!
Three people, three sets: udon, tofu salad and tempura
Ordering all three menus turned out to be really plentiful. We ordered like this and the three of us — mom, sister and me — ate our hearts out sharing it all.
The udon noodles were springy and the broth had a strong bonito flavor — really tasty. The portion was so big that a bowl of udon alone would be filling.
And the tofu salad — genuinely delicious. Nutty sesame dressing drizzled over super soft tofu, it was tofu on a whole different level.
The soy-marinated salmon that came with the roe rice set! A soy-sauce based marinade.
The tempura was freshly fried and served right away, so we got to eat it piping hot. All three kinds — sweet pumpkin, sweet potato and shrimp — were crispy and delicious.
The roe rice portion was so big that finishing one bowl left us completely full!
The roe rice was packed generously with ingredients — we ate it very happily.
The crispy fried shrimp (mom picked it up with her hand and passed it to me — does it taste better eaten by hand or something?)
Is Moshi Moshi Sushi a good meal after department store shopping?
Sushi eaten right after department store shopping, in an upscale atmosphere! We had such a delicious meal. Clean plating, and both the composition and the taste were excellent. I'd strongly recommend Moshi Moshi Gwangbok for lunch near Nampo Station too 🍣🍣🍣 — a Lotte Department Store Gwangbok sushi restaurant everyone should try, highly recommended.
