Today I wanted that outdoor tent-bar (yajang) feeling, so I visited Bueongi Maeul, a well-known BBQ restaurant in Nampo-dong.

I thought it was just one shop, but it actually spans two storefronts side by side!!! You can sit wherever's convenient.
Why the outdoor seats at Bueongi Maeul need an early arrival
Maybe because of the chilly weather these days, the outdoor tables filled up quickly. We got there early, so we managed to snag an outdoor seat.
There are tables inside too, and since the doors are kept open there's no stuffy feeling, so if there's no outdoor seating you could eat inside just fine!!!!!!

We ordered a pork ribs plate and the premium bibim noodles!!!!!!

The side dishes and the free steamed egg
After ordering, they set the table with the basic sides. It all came out looking really clean!!!!!! Just the right side dishes needed for eating meat.

There was sweet-and-tangy stir-fried kimchi, salty myeong-i namul (wild leek greens), radish-onion pickles, tangy radish wraps, shredded chili, salted pollock roe, crunchy radish salad, shredded garlic and green onion, lettuce, and chili peppers. Every single side dish tasted so good!!!!!!

After waiting a bit, they brought out steamed egg too!!!!!!! This is also provided as a free starter. It was salty and soft!!!!!! Nice as an appetizer before the meat.
One 800g plate of pork ribs: how much meat and how to grill it
Here's the portion on the pork ribs plate! They gave a pretty generous amount!!!!!!!! Looks like it's going to be so delicious. They also gave us mushrooms to grill alongside.

We put the pork ribs on the heated grill!!! The heat was perfect for cooking the seasoning! You have to keep flipping so the seasoning doesn't burn!!!
We cut it into bite-sized pieces and kept grilling!!!!!! Since it's pork, you can't eat it undercooked, right? The meat-to-fat ratio was just right!!!!! My stomach was growling while grilling the meat! Made my mouth water.

Eating the ribs with sauce, shredded scallions and myeongi namul
Whoever grilled the meat did a really good job!!!!! Self-praise haha. When you dip the finished pork ribs right into the sauce, you get that savory, salty flavor even more! Sweet-and-salty, and the meat was tender!!!!! It got more savory the more you chewed.

It also went really well with the shredded green onion!!!!!! The onion aroma filling my mouth was so good. It also cuts through any greasiness.

We also wrapped it neatly in lettuce and ate it!!!!!!!!!

The pork ribs themselves weren't too heavily seasoned, so they went really well with the myeong-i namul too!!! The seasoning was just right!!!!!!
I also paired it with the salted pollock roe, which had a subtly appealing flavor!!!!!!!

We kept grilling nonstop so the flow of eating meat wouldn't break!!!!!!

Premium bibim noodles for two: a bigger portion than expected
We ordered the premium bibim noodles to eat alongside the pork ribs. Maybe because it's a 2-serving portion, but the amount was really huge. With that color of sauce, there was no way it wouldn't be delicious!!!!!!

The noodles weren't soggy at all and were chewy, and the sauce was genuinely delicious!!!! This one I'd definitely, definitely recommend!!! The spicy-tangy flavor really perked up the appetite!!!!!! It also went surprisingly well with the pork ribs.

Finishing with the rib bones — pork belly on the next visit
At the end, we picked apart the rib bones too — that's the tastiest part, right? Chewy and fun to gnaw on. I saw another table grilling pork belly, and it looked so good!!! Next time I'll have to try the pork belly!!!1
