Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a two-floor brunch café on Minrakbondong-ro 11beon-gil in Suyeong-gu, Busan. It's open daily from 8:00 to 18:00, with last order at 17:00.

I met up with friends I made at cooking school for some long-overdue bonding time at a brunch café. It had been a while since we'd all gotten together, so it was great to eat good food and catch up on everything we'd missed — a proper, relaxed chat session.

There's outdoor seating too, so you can enjoy a cool breeze while you relax. On a nice day, having brunch outside would be perfect.

This place is also Blue Ribbon-selected, so you can visit with even more confidence that you won't regret it.

First floor vs. second floor: how the two spaces differ

The 1st floor of Famous Benny is decorated in a cozy, atmospheric style, so it seems like a good place to settle in and relax comfortably. If you're coming alone, this would be a nice spot to sit and zone out for a while.

The 2nd floor is decorated in a clean, sleek style. It has the kind of atmosphere that's good for getting work done while enjoying brunch, so it also seems like a nice place to spend time alone.

There were even pretty flowers set out, which made the atmosphere even nicer — I wanted to sit by the window, but since there were three of us, that was a bit of a letdown. There were a lot of foreign guests visiting too. It seemed like the word had already gotten around!

The water cups were so pretty I almost wanted to sneak one home… but that would be stealing, wouldn't it? Even the cups were tempting, haha.

What three of us ordered at Famous Benny, and what it cost

Iced Americano ₩5,500, flat white ₩6,000, strawberry malt latte ₩6,000. Maybe because our moods were different, our tastes turned out to be pretty different too — we each picked whatever we felt like drinking!

French toast ₩17,000 — the visual alone is overwhelming.

Yogurt bowl ₩7,000. It had nutty pecans mixed in, so the texture was great and the flavor really delivered too.

📍 After ordering, if you're sitting on the 2nd floor, a staff member brings everything right to your table, which was so convenient. It felt nice to be waited on without having to move at all.

How does the croissant French toast taste?

Famous Benny's French toast is made with croissant instead of sliced bread, so the inside is moist and soft — it practically melts in your mouth. It's packed with nuts, so along with the nutty flavor, you also get a nice crunchy texture.

They didn't hold back on the maple syrup — it was drizzled on generously.

They poured out every last drop of maple syrup, and honestly, that's exactly how it should be eaten — sweet through and through.

We wondered if it was too pretty to eat and stared at it for a while, but ended up cutting straight into it anyway.

With edible flowers on top, isn't the visual just gorgeous? It was such a pretty plating that just looking at it made me happy.

Eating the bread together with the banana added extra sweetness, which made it even more delicious.

The yogurt bowl was loaded with nuts, giving it a nutty, light flavor that still felt healthy and delicious.

Who Famous Benny Gwangalli suits best

Everything looked so pretty we were busy taking photos before we even started eating. Our eyes were happy, our mouths were happy, and getting to chat comfortably with friends after so long made for a real healing kind of day.

Having the food brought straight to our table made us feel extra well taken care of, which made it even better. It'd be a great date spot too, and next time I'd love to come back after a run and take my time with a relaxed brunch.
