I visited Diaz Cake Boutique, a well-known cake spot in Inge-dong near Suwon City Hall Station. Diaz Cake Boutique is one of Suwon's representative dessert cafés. As a cake and dessert tea house, it's easy to get to since it's right near exit 9 of Suwon City Hall Station.

At the entrance to Nahyeoseok-geori, across from Dongsuwon CGV — if you're planning a date in Inge-dong, Diaz Cake Boutique is worth a visit! Taking the elevator up and getting off on the 2nd floor,

the entrance appears right away. With its striking golden lighting, this Inge-dong café and cake spot

is a premium dessert café that uses only premium ingredients — 100% animal cream from Seoul Milk, Madagascar vanilla beans, French Président butter — so you can enjoy a healthy cake that sits easy on the stomach even with reduced sugar.

What is the second-floor space at Diaz Cake Boutique like?

Walking into Diaz Cake Boutique, you first come to the counter, and

going further in, classic tables and seats reminiscent of an old-school Western-style restaurant appear, with high-backed chairs that look comfortable.

Heading to the very back, oh! A completely different, luxurious mood appears — a space that looks straight out of a comic book I read back in school. It's calm and cozy, and the sunlight streaming in becomes part of the interior.

True to a cake specialty spot, several cakes are on display, and many are still unfinished. At Diaz Cake Boutique, whole-cake orders outnumber people enjoying coffee with a slice. Apparently over 100 cakes are sold a day, that's how popular it is in Suwon. With ingredients, care, and cleanliness all on point, it's no wonder it's a trusted dessert. The premium cream cakes topped with seasonal fruit and the drinks that go well with them are

mainly hand-drip coffee and tea. The afternoon tea set, enjoyed in this quiet, tasteful space, promises a special tea time.

How did the fig cream cake and iced latte taste?

Figs at their tastiest in season, and my all-time favorite, the iced latte! It pairs perfectly with the vase on display.

A rich espresso, nutty milk, and less ice as I customized it! With less ice, I could taste a strong latte all the way to the last sip.

The fig cake grabbed my attention with its looks alone! Prices these days are wild, so ₩11,900 for one cake made me flinch a little at first, but

the fresh figs tucked in between the layers, paired with animal cream that never felt heavy, made me accept the price.
