In short

Salmon Brothers is a salmon, sushi and Western-food restaurant in Gwangalli, Suyeong-gu, Busan, on the 2nd floor of an E-Mart24 building about 5 minutes on foot from Gwangan Station Exit 3. A Sunday 5pm Naver reservation meant no wait for aglio e olio, a salmon cheese roll and raw salmon sushi, and a curling iron and hairspray were set out by the restroom. For a night on windy Gwangalli, Salmon Brothers handles dinner and a hair fix in one stop.

What Salmon Brothers looks like from the street

I finally visited Salmon Brothers, famous as a go-to Gwangalli spot for salmon, Western food, and sushi! I love salmon in general, and whenever people mention Busan salmon or Busan salmon king-sized sushi, Salmon Brothers in Gwangalli always comes up, so I'd been really curious — and today I finally made it haha.

Salmon Brothers, known for salmon, Western food and sushi in Gwangalli, is about a 5-minute walk from Gwangan Station Exit 3 toward Gwangalli Beach! It's on the 2nd floor of the E-Mart24 building just before the big intersection!

On the way up I spotted some cute teddy bears! They seem to be the official mascot of Salmon Brothers, the famous Gwangalli salmon/Western food/sushi spot, haha.

It was nice being able to check the menu board before even going inside!

The whole space felt very clean and tidy!

Right at the entrance there were tons of cute little props!

Next to the tables there were baskets for bags or outerwear, which was a nice touch~

In the middle of the restaurant, wet wipes, water and paper cups were all set out.

The restrooms at Salmon Brothers are separated by gender and kept very clean!

Salmon Brothers, famous for salmon, Western food and sushi in Gwangalli, had hairspray, cotton swabs, and even a curling iron set up right by the restroom. Since the sea breeze in Gwangalli is pretty strong, I've had plenty of experience of my hair getting messed up just from hanging out there — having a curling iron and hairspray ready like this was such a nice touch.

How the aglio e olio, raw salmon sushi and salmon cheese roll tasted

The aglio e olio pasta served first

I ordered aglio e olio, salmon cheese roll, and raw salmon sushi! The aglio e olio came out first. I'm usually not a fan of oil pastas since I find them greasy, but the aglio e olio at Salmon Brothers, the famous Gwangalli salmon/Western food/sushi spot, had just the right amount of oil soaked nicely into the noodles, so I ended up really enjoying it!

When I ordered a cola, it came with this adorable bear-shaped ice, aww.

Next up, raw salmon sushi! In the photo it looks like a normal size, but each piece was big enough to fill your mouth! The soy sauce was already applied too!

And the salmon cheese roll! I'd never seen a menu item called salmon cheese roll before coming to Salmon Brothers, the famous Gwangalli salmon/Western food/sushi spot! It's salmon wrapped around cream cheese so you enjoy them together!

The food all just looked so good... and it tasted just as good, honestly.

Close-up of the salmon cheese roll with cream cheese inside

The salmon cheese roll was what I was most curious about since it's such an unexpected combo!! I thought salmon and cream cheese might clash, but since both have such a soft texture, they went together so, so well!!

A plate of thick-cut raw salmon sushi

True to its reputation as the famous Gwangalli salmon/Western food/sushi spot, the salmon sushi was excellent too! The salmon was fresh and really high quality!
