Early Sunday lunch sushi platter in Dongnae, Busan: Moshi Moshi Sushi

My maternal grandmother was a haenyeo (female sea diver), so I grew up eating tons of seafood, and I still love it as an adult. That's why I go for sushi regularly. Today's post is about my visit to Moshi Moshi Sushi at the Lotte Department Store near Myeongnyun Station, a sushi spot I really enjoyed. Shall we get into it!!

Moshi Moshi Sushi, this sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station, is on the 8th floor dining hall of the Dongnae Lotte Department Store, so it was easy to find. You get to shop and eat out at the same place, killing two birds with one stone, haha. Parking is available at the department store lot. The restaurant is spacious with clean interiors, making it a good fit for family gatherings, work dinners, or dates.

I visited during an early Sunday lunch and there were quite a lot of customers already.

What two people ordered: the sushi platter and Set 1

Here's what we ordered at Moshi Moshi Sushi, this sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station at Lotte Department Store. My companion ordered Set 1 and I got the sushi platter, and the portions really turned out great. Personally, I loved how varied the menu was — there are even dishes kids can enjoy.

The table ended up absolutely packed with food, haha. Looking at these photos makes me want to go eat there again, haha.

Sushi platter: 8 pieces of sushi with tempura and mini udon

The Moshi Moshi Sushi platter comes with 8 pieces of sushi, tempura, mini udon, salad, and tofu salad — apparently the best menu for solo diners. I really liked how it was put together.

The composition was really generous. The tempura included sweet pumpkin, eggplant, and shrimp.

The udon broth was clean and the noodles had a nice chewy bite — I enjoyed it a lot.

Which sushi comes with the 'good sushi' upgrade?

When ordering the sushi platter, I chose the 'good' sushi option, and it came with a hearty lineup: flounder, salmon, fin fish, tuna, beef tartare, shrimp, and eel sushi. Personally, salmon sushi is my favorite, and the salmon here was nice and fresh.

Every single piece of sushi was fresh, and I enjoyed all of it.

Salmon sushi is love!! The beef tartare sushi was also really fresh and delicious, haha.

Set 1: 16 pieces of sushi, roe rice and a full-size udon

This is what my companion ordered — Set 1 at Moshi Moshi Sushi, this sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station. Since he eats a lot, he went with the set, which came with 16 pieces of sushi, egg roe rice, a choice of noodle dish, vegetable salad, tofu salad, and soup. Whether he finished it all is not a secret, haha.

He especially liked the egg roe rice, and instead of the mini udon, this set came with a full-size udon — which he finished completely, haha.

There was a nice variety of sushi too. I stole one of the salmon sushi pieces, haha. Salmon is love, after all.

I tried the egg roe rice too and it was delicious!!
