I was craving chicken and beer today so I went to 'Jump Café × Deultong Beer Myeongji International Branch,' a Myeongji chicken spot with outdoor terrace seating :) Deultong Beer is a place where you can enjoy various rotisserie dishes (chicken, pork) alongside cold draft beer.

This place also has outdoor terrace seating, so it's a Myeongji restaurant that draws crowds on both weekdays and weekends. With outdoor terrace seats to enjoy alongside a variety of draft beers, a lot of people come here as a laid-back spot for a drink after work.

Jump Café × Deultong Beer Myeongji International Branch is located near the Myeongji The Sharp, and being on the 1st floor, a lot of people stop by. There's no need to worry about parking since the building's lot is available. There are lots of restaurants and bars in the area, so on nice-weather days like these, a lot of people come here as a first or second stop for outdoor drinking.

As soon as you arrive, the electric rotisserie chicken machine at the entrance catches your eye. The whole rotisserie chicken here is famous, so everyone makes sure to order it. From crispy-outside, juicy-inside electric rotisserie chicken to whole roasted pork barbecue, chicken dishes, and warm snacks, they say you can enjoy a wide range of menu items in a comfortable, camping-style atmosphere.

There are also seats indoors, and the space was spacious and clean. These days with the cooler weather, the outdoor seats are the most popular.

How ordering works and what's on the menu

The deultong rotisserie set with both chicken and pork caught my eye too. Since it's electric roasted, it seemed like it would really deliver on that crispy-outside, juicy-inside texture.

Looking at the menu of this Myeongji chicken restaurant, there really were so many options. Beyond single items, there were also set menus that are great for enjoying a variety of dishes together.

Beyond chicken, there were meal options and even desserts — plenty of reasons this is a great second stop, since the side dishes were really varied too. They also run a café together, so you can order from the Jump Café menu as well.

What two people ordered: rotisserie chicken, half garlic soy chicken, rice cake skewers

First we ordered the original whole rotisserie chicken and the boneless garlic soy chicken (half), and later added tteokkkochi (rice cake skewers) from a school-front stall.

If you take part in the receipt review event, you get cajun fries as a freebie — the portion was surprisingly generous, so give it a try.

Crackers, salad, and pickled radish come out as complimentary sides. The pickled radish was so good I refilled it three times! It seemed homemade.

There's a good variety of sauces too. I liked that there was no extra charge for sauces.

The original rotisserie chicken arrived. It was pre-cut for easy eating. Roasted on a charcoal stone electric rotisserie, it was properly crispy-outside, juicy-inside, and so delicious.

Boneless garlic soy chicken, half order

Since it would have felt like something was missing to eat just the charcoal-stone electric rotisserie chicken between two of us, we also ordered the boneless garlic soy chicken (half order), and you really should try this — it's so good!!!!!

The soy sauce is genuinely delicious, the kind of flavor you keep thinking about.

This is the cajun fries we got from the review event. The portion was surprisingly generous.

Tteokkochi, the rice cake skewers from outside school

As we kept eating, it was so good that the drinks kept coming, so we ordered the nostalgic school-front tteokkkochi (rice cake skewers) as a light snack to go with it. It tasted exactly like that nostalgic flavor, and the sauce was sweet too, so I recommend this one as well, highly.

This place is perfect for group gatherings, family meals, or a date. It's a great spot for whole chicken with a glass of draft beer, so be sure to visit when you're craving chicken. The menu selection is wide and the staff were so kind that I want to come back. Get your chicken and beer on the terrace before it gets any colder!
