Date-night hanwoo with seaweed soup in Myeongji, Busan: Yong Hanu
In short
Yong Hanu Myeongji Branch is a 1++ hanwoo (Korean beef) grill restaurant in the food alley of Myeongji International City in Gangseo, Busan. A couple booked an early dinner and grilled the Han Set (400g: 200g sirloin plus 200g galbisal, boneless short rib) for 98,000 won over a corn-fuel grill, served with house-made pickles and a seaweed soup made with hanwoo. The corn fire gave the beef a nutty smokiness, and Yong Hanu Myeongji also looks like a solid choice for a family meal out.

Today I visited Yong Hanu, a hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant in Busan~ A day out for hanwoo makes me excited just thinking about it!! Reasonable prices, great quality, and the special taste of beef grilled over corn fuel!! Here's my review of Yong Hanu, a hanwoo restaurant in Myeongji, Busan~
Where Yong Hanu Myeongji is and when it opens
Yong Hanu Myeongji Branch is on the 1st floor at 11-1, Myeongjigukje 6-ro 232beon-gil, Gangseo-gu, Busan. It's located in the food alley of Myeongji International City, right in the center of Myeongji New Town. A 2026 national favorite!!

Hours are Wed–Mon 11:00–23:00 (last order 22:00), and Tuesday 16:00–23:00 (last order 22:00).
Parking at Yong Hanu Myeongji
Parking is available for about 4 cars beside the store and about 4 in front. We arrived early so we parked right beside the store~

What the dining room feels like
The interior of Yong Hanu Myeongji Branch is clean and calm, with good ventilation too. There's a hanwoo face painted on the entrance door — you can really feel the strong pride behind Yong Hanu...

At the entrance there were signatures from Choi Soo-jong, Lee Mu-jin, and Kim Won-hyo. There was also a recommended menu of the day. 'Golden shrimp meat' — even the name sounds fancy~
We had made a reservation and visited a bit early for dinner. Our table was already set up in the back~

Side dishes, house-made pickles and hanwoo seaweed soup
The water glasses were satisfyingly heavy, very classy haha. House-made pickles and side dishes were neatly laid out with sauces. (The shredded green onion salad especially was so good)

The spread also included a seaweed soup, and it was hands down one of the best I've had!! It even had a few precious pieces of hanwoo in it, making the flavor even deeper haha.

The pickles were really delicious haha. The gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) also went really well with the hanwoo~

What makes Yong Hanu's corn fuel different?
Yong Hanu's special fuel is corn!! Meat tastes different depending on what fire you grill it over, right? I've had hanwoo grilled over charcoal and electric grills before, but grilling over corn fuel was a first for me, and it was a whole new world~ The heat was better than I expected, and a nutty corn scent seeped into the meat as it grilled so well and tasted amazing!!
Menu and prices: what the couple ordered
Hanwoo is hanwoo, so the prices are no joke... But Yong Hanu aims for reasonable pricing!! From high-end set menus to à la carte items, there was a wide range, plus plenty of side dishes like hanwoo chaeteusal yukhoe (raw beef tartare), hanwoo sashimi, and yukhoe bibimbap.

- Yong Hanu High-End Set (840g) — 1++ premium raw galbi 340g, 1++ snowflake striploin 200g, 1++ premium shrimp meat 100g, hanger steak 200g / ₩275,000
- Yong SET (400g) — 1++ top sirloin 400g / ₩105,000
- Han SET (400g) — 1++ top sirloin 200g + 1++ hanwoo galbisal 200g / ₩98,000
We debated just getting sirloin, but ended up ordering the han SET (400g) — 1++ top sirloin 200g + 1++ hanwoo galbisal 200g for ₩98,000, so we could try the galbisal too.

How did the galbisal and sirloin taste?
The staff served us our precious hanwoo... It was lightly pre-seasoned, and they sprinkled a bit of pepper on it~ The marbling on the galbisal was incredible~ (so tender and delicious) Today too, my boyfriend was on grilling duty~

The corn fuel really packs heat~ My boyfriend showed off his fire-searing performance haha. The galbisal is on the fattier side, so fat dripped down onto the grill and the flames flared up... but still every piece came out without a single burnt spot~

The first bite went with a light dip in salt, and after that we tried various sauces — it really melted in my mouth and disappeared... I wanted to savor it for a long time but it was gone haha. Truly tender and delicious.

The galbisal was glistening with shine, so appetizing it proved the '1++' grade!! Really tender and nutty, we ate it so happily. Next up, the long-awaited 1++ premium sirloin!!

No matter how great the hanwoo, grilling technique matters. My boyfriend grilled with great care and focus haha. As he grilled, he joked it looked like a map of South Korea and took a photo!!

The sirloin was on the thicker side so it took a little longer to grill, but it came out perfectly, full of juice~ The precious boyfriend, best griller in the world...
My sweet boyfriend cut the nicely grilled piece onto my plate. You could eat it medium-rare if slightly underdone, but I'm an old-fashioned well-done person so he grilled it without any pink haha.
What was the sirloin I'd had before compared to this? Was this what sirloin tasted like... chewy and nutty... Whether it's nuttier from the corn fuel or just really good meat, probably both, but it's really delicious haha.
I heard Yong Hanu has a yukhoe bibimbap on Baemin (Baedal Minjok delivery app) too, and once evening came, a lot of orders were coming in. Seems like it's a local favorite in Myeongji~

Final verdict on Yong Hanu Myeongji
A clean atmosphere, reasonable prices, quality hanwoo, and an even nuttier taste from grilling over corn fuel!! Yong Hanu seems like a great beef restaurant in Myeongji, Busan for a family meal out. When you're craving hanwoo in Myeongji, Busan, or craving that nutty yukhoe bibimbap, go go~
