I was looking for a place to have a light chimaek (chicken and beer) after work, and ended up at Deultong Beer Myeongji International Branch, which does electric roast chicken.
They serve everything from electric whole roast chicken to whole roast pork, fried chicken, and dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken), and the prices weren't intimidating at all — great value. The hall was clean and there was even an outdoor terrace, which looked perfect for a night-market vibe on a nice day. I left really satisfied with Deultong Beer!! Let me introduce it now.

The storefront and the rotisserie chickens turning by the entrance

You'll find it around the back corner of the building — the place is pretty large so it's easy to spot.

There were outdoor tables set up in front of and beside the shop, and I imagine the vibe would be great with a beer on a nice day.

For reference, the window side can also be opened up, so you can enjoy the outdoor atmosphere even without sitting on the terrace.

And I couldn't just walk past the electric roast chicken by the entrance.
You could see the chickens roasting to a golden brown right at the entrance, and watching them turn so deliciously made me think I absolutely had to try one.

When you order, a staff member portions the chicken nicely and brings it right to your table.
The price was really easy on the wallet too — ₩10,000 for one bird and ₩18,000 for two to take out. Probably because it's so affordable, quite a lot of people were picking up takeout. Seems perfect for grabbing on the way home from work for chimaek.
What is the seating and atmosphere like inside Deultong Beer?

Once inside, there were plenty of tables. The overall vibe was clean and stylish with a slightly hip edge, making it a great spot for a drink.
Besides regular tables, there were also comfortable sofa-style seats,

and tables where you could sit looking out the window.

Fun phrases caught my eye here and there too — 'Chicken loves you too' made me laugh.
Deultong Beer also had quite a variety of draft beers. There was even a separate area for pouring the draft beer straight, which made me think they're really serious about their draft beer. 🍺

There was also a phone charging spot in one corner, handy if you're worried about your battery while eating.
And right next door, Jump Café was operating as well — since it shares the space, you could order café drinks or desserts from there too.

I liked that after eating and having a beer, you could move straight on to coffee or dessert.

The restroom isn't a separate one inside the restaurant — you use the building's shared restroom.
What comes with the table by default

Each table had utensils, tissues, and a tablet order set up,

and after ordering, a staff member prepared the basic table setting for us.

My favorite salt-stick crackers also came out, perfect for snacking on one by one while waiting for the chicken.
Along with those, they also gave us pickled radish and a refreshing salad to go with the chicken, plus chicken seasoning sauce and salt.
Deultong Beer menu and prices
Since the menu was so extensive, I photographed the Deultong Beer menu and the Jump Café menu separately.
At Deultong Beer you can order everything from chicken and whole roasts to a variety of side dishes, while at Jump Café you can order coffee, drinks, and desserts — please refer to the video.
Original whole roast chicken, garlic soy chicken and draft Terra beer
To properly enjoy chimaek, I ordered the original whole roast chicken and garlic soy chicken as side dishes.

The garlic soy chicken came out first, freshly fried and piping hot — it looked delicious just to look at.
From the crispy fried chicken came a sweet, savory garlic soy aroma that made my mouth water instantly.

There was a light sprinkle of parsley on top too, which made it look even more appetizing.
The salad that came as a basic side had a tangy sauce on it, and pairing a bite of it with the crispy chicken cut the greasiness nicely — they went really well together.

Of course chicken needs beer. I ordered the draft Terra beer, and I loved that even the glass came out perfectly chilled.
A bite of hot, crispy chicken followed by a cool sip of draft beer felt like it washed away a whole day's worth of fatigue. Chimaek after work really is the truth.

While I was enjoying the garlic soy chicken, the original whole roast chicken I'd been waiting for also arrived.
A staff member had portioned it nicely for eating, which made it convenient to dig right in.
The golden-brown exterior was crispy, and the meat inside was juicy and really tender.
I've had electric roast chicken from quite a few other brands, but personally this one was really delicious.

The meat wasn't dry at all — it was moist and soft, the kind of taste that keeps your hand reaching for more.
I also tried it dipped in the chicken seasoning sauce and the salt that came with it, and both went well with it.

I think I just kept repeating 'this is so good' while eating without even thinking.

It had been a while since I'd had electric roast chicken, and it was really satisfying.

Next time I should grab some takeout on my way home.
One-line verdict on Deultong Beer in Myeongji
🍺🍗🍖 Overall I had a really satisfying meal. The original whole roast chicken had such juicy, tender meat that I'd order it again next time. I heard the whole roast pork is pretty popular too, so I should try that with a beer next visit.
With everything from fried chicken to whole roasts and a wide range of side dishes, it's great for gatherings and even fine to visit with kids. It's a comfortable place to relax with a casual beer, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for good food in Myeongji, Busan.
