Family pho dinner with parents in Myeongji, Busan: Mibundang

It had been a while, but I went back to Mibundang with my parents again. This is somewhere our family kind of ends up going every time we're in Myeongji, so I'm writing this as a revisit review! I ordered a bit differently this time, and it was still delicious. And this is always a place where you leave completely full, so total satisfaction ><

Where is Mibundang Myeongji Branch, and is there parking?

Mibundang Myeongji Branch is at 41 Myeongji-gukje 2-ro, Sales Facility Bldg 1F Unit 141, Gangseo-gu, Busan, South Korea, open 11:00–21:00 (break time 15:00–17:00). Parking is free for 1 hour.

I've been here a few times now, so the exterior's familiar. Just set your navigation to Mibundang Myeongji Branch, park in the building's basement lot, and take the elevator up to press 1F shopping level (B1).

One hour free per visit, so you don't even need to register separately — so convenient! haha

Mibundang Myeongji Branch menu and prices

Pho at Mibundang Myeongji Branch ranges from ₩10,000 for brisket to ₩14,000 for tendon. It's split into five types depending on the meat topping combination.

• Brisket pho ₩10,000
• Beef brisket pho ₩11,500
• Brisket + beef brisket pho ₩12,500
• Brisket, beef brisket, tendon pho ₩13,000
• Tendon pho ₩14,000

You can choose based on your taste — from just tender brisket alone, to beef brisket alone, to the brisket + beef brisket combo, all the way up to the popular menu topped with brisket + beef brisket + tendon together. There's also a tendon-only option, so if you like that chewy tendon texture, that one's worth trying too!

This time we ordered two brisket pho and one brisket-beef brisket-tendon pho that my dad was curious about. Ordering was still the same system — prepay at the kiosk outside the restaurant before going in.

What the Mibundang dining room is like on a return visit

Mibundang Myeongji Branch still had that same quiet, cozy counter-seat atmosphere. There were plenty of families as well as solo diners, so it was comfortable to chat quietly while eating.

You can still see the cooking process happening right in front of you, so waiting never felt boring.

Again this time, the owner checked in partway through to ask if we wanted extra bean sprouts or noodles. Even though we were too full to eat more, that kind of attentiveness gets me every time.

Beef brisket pho, shared with my parents

At Mibundang Myeongji Branch, the most memorable part of the brisket pho was how tender the brisket was. They brought out all three bowls at the same time, which made it easy for the family to eat together.

Brisket pho — the soft, tender brisket was still the best part!

There are thinly sliced chili peppers on top of the pho, which really adds a spicy kick. My mom can't handle spicy food so I passed all the chili to my dad lol. That way my mom could eat it without any spice too.

The broth is spicy and so tasty, and the meaty aroma really comes through

The brisket was so tender that even the chewing texture was great.

Loaded with bean sprouts, so the crunch was nice too, and it's really filling. It's also delicious to load noodles, meat, bean sprouts, and onion into a small bowl and pour sauce over it.

Adding hot sauce brings extra spice, and adding hoisin sauce brings out more savory depth!!

Beef brisket, flank and tendon pho: how chewy is the tendon?

Brisket-beef brisket-tendon pho (₩13,000) is the menu my dad newly ordered this time. I was curious about the tendon part so I tried a bite too

It was chewy yet soft, way more delicious than I expected.

The texture is unique but there's zero off-putting feeling — if anything, you keep reaching for more!!

The broth had a deep, rich meaty flavor too, so I kept scooping it up with my spoon. I'm not usually someone who finishes the broth, but here I end up cleaning the bowl. This is a place I always leave full from. It's an approachable menu with basically no strong dislikes, so I think any Korean would enjoy it. It's a really great spot for a family meal out ><

Is Mibundang worth a family meal in Myeongji?

No matter how many times I come, Mibundang Myeongji Branch never gets old and I always leave full. It's good for solo dining and comfortable enough to bring parents, so it keeps coming to mind whenever I'm in Myeongji!! This time I also tried the tendon menu for the first time, and it was really good too haha
