The interior of Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae was clean and pleasant overall. It was nice that they had a variety of seating: hall seating up front, a more private inner section for dining, and dachi (counter) seating that's not intimidating for solo diners either.

It's a good sushi spot near Myeongnyun Station not just for family meals or couples but also for a quick solo sushi meal. haha

📋 What we ordered Sashimi set ₩31,900 White fish sushi 10pc + tempura 3pc ₩28,000 Single-piece shrimp sushi ₩1,500 x 2 Plum ade ₩4,000
What comes in the 31,900 won sashimi platter?
The sashimi set is ₩31,900 and comes with sashimi 8pc + sushi 8pc + tempura 3pc + udon + vegetable salad + tofu salad.

The sashimi set comes with such a variety of dishes that it looked incredibly generous at first glance!
1. Tofu salad and vegetable salad

I started with the vegetable salad and tofu salad first — the tofu salad is genuinely delicious! Soft silken tofu topped with a nutty sesame sauce, and the sauce is so savory it's the perfect appetizer before the real meal 👍🏻
2. Sushi, 8 pieces

The sushi 8pc was made up of white fish, salmon, raw shrimp, egg, clam and more — each piece was fresh and tasty. haha Wasabi is already added by default, so you can eat right away without adding your own, and if you want more, extra wasabi is served alongside.
3. Sashimi, 8 pieces

The sashimi 8pc was white fish, tuna, salmon, and abalone! The sashimi was fresh across the board — the white fish especially had a nice chewy texture, and the tuna and salmon had just the right amount of fat, so piling on wasabi and mu-sun (radish sprouts) made it really delicious.

A little squeeze of lemon added a fragrant note that gave it a whole different feel.
4. Tempura, three kinds

The tempura came in three kinds — shrimp, eggplant, and sweet pumpkin — and all three were fried nice and crispy. Personally, the eggplant tempura I wasn't expecting much from turned out to be my favorite! Crispy outside, soft inside — really tasty.
5. Udon

The udon included in the set had a bigger portion than expected too. The noodles were chewy and the broth wasn't too salty, so it went well alongside the sushi. Even as a set-included side, the udon was satisfying in both quantity and taste. Overall, being able to enjoy sashimi, sushi, tempura and udon all in one go made this a dish I'd recommend to anyone looking for a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station. ☺️
White fish sushi 10 pieces + tempura 3 pieces, 28,000 won: broth instead of udon
The white fish sushi 10pc + tempura 3pc is ₩28,000, and it also comes with the same vegetable salad and tofu salad. This menu comes with warm jang-guk broth instead of udon, which has a salty, warming flavor that pairs well with sushi. There's a bit of seaweed in it too!
The white fish had an impressively soft texture overall, and it included 2 pieces of the fin area. The fin was slightly fattier and chewier than regular white fish, which I personally enjoyed. 🤤

If you like white fish sushi, this is a clean, satisfying option — a good pick when looking for lunch at a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station! 😆
Extra shrimp sushi at 1,500 won and plum ade at 4,000 won

I usually like shrimp sushi, so I added 2 single pieces. haha As expected, no need to say more — it was delicious. haha It's nice that there's a wide range of single-piece sushi available, so you can pick and add exactly what you want. If you're visiting with kids, it'd be great to add their favorite sushi as single pieces too! 👍🏻

I usually expect plum ade to taste like the green plum soda kind, but this one genuinely tasted like it was made from real steeped plum syrup. The sweet-yet-tangy plum flavor really came through, and it was refreshing to drink after the meal. I personally love the taste of plum syrup, so this was quite a favorite. haha

They're also running a review event during visits, so if you want to take part, check the event details before ordering!
Is Moshi Moshi Sushi worth a weekend lunch?
