Today I'm introducing a dessert spot in Sajik-dong with sweet choux and delicious passion fruit handmade syrup, "FLU:ET."

Where is FLU:ET in Sajik-dong, and what is the shop like?

FLU:ET is a choux and handmade syrup dessert shop on the 1st floor of 54 Sajik-ro 70beon-gil, Dongnae-gu, Busan. Head into the alley beside the Hanaro Mart in front of Sajik Ssangyong Yega and you'll find it right away.

The interior was decorated in a cute, cozy style, with a small table and chairs set up. You can eat there simply, but since the space is fairly compact, I'd recommend takeout.

Inside the showcase, a variety of appetizing choux and handmade syrups were neatly displayed.

FLU:ET's menu is fairly simple. There are ready-to-drink ades and various choux, plus handmade syrups you can turn into drinks at home.

That day, I ordered:

  • Plain choux — ₩4,500
  • Earl Grey choux — ₩4,900
  • Passion fruit syrup — ₩13,500

These three items, all to go.

How to join the FLU:ET lucky draw

They're also running a lucky draw event for purchases of ₩10,000 or more, or 2 or more items — worth noting if you're planning a visit.

Plain choux packed with cream, 4,500 won

Back home, I first tried FLU:ET's plain choux (₩4,500).

Plain choux, about the size of an adult fist

The size alone was impressive — nearly the size of an adult fist, so even one felt like it would be quite filling.

Cross-section of the plain choux, split in half

When I split it in half, there was barely any empty space inside — it was packed with soft cream.

Inside of the plain choux, packed full of cream

Above all, the cream was genuinely delicious. It had a soft, sweet flavor reminiscent of milk and vanilla, and with each bite the rich cream filled my mouth. The contrast between the crisp outer shell and the soft cream inside was great, and the nutty, deep flavor of the cream stood out too.

Earl Grey choux, 4,900 won: how fragrant is it?

Next up was FLU:ET's Earl Grey choux (₩4,900).

If the plain choux is about enjoying the basic charm of soft, sweet cream, the Earl Grey version was noticeably different from the very first whiff. From the first bite, the fragrant scent of Earl Grey spread through, quite strongly.

The soft, sweet cream combined with the subtle Earl Grey aroma gave it a charm all its own, different from the plain version.

FLU:ET passion fruit syrup: better with water or sparkling water?

I tried FLU:ET's passion fruit syrup (₩13,500) two ways: with cold water and with sparkling water. To cut to the conclusion, the ade made with sparkling water was my favorite.

The syrup bottle lists the production date, storage instructions, ingredients, and expiration date, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind.

Passion fruit syrup with the lid opened

The moment I opened the lid, the distinctive tangy scent of passion fruit hit me right away.

The product also comes with instructions on how to enjoy the syrup at its best.

Passion fruit syrup with cold water, like iced tea

Since I didn't have sparkling water at home at first, I mixed the passion fruit syrup with cold water and made it like iced tea. I thought I might miss the sparkling water, but it turned out much tastier than expected. Behind the bright tanginess came sweetness and a fragrant fruity aroma — plenty tasty even mixed simply with cold water.

Passion fruit syrup with sparkling water, as an ade

Wanting to try it as an ade too, I picked up sparkling water from a shop nearby. The tangy-sweet passion fruit paired really well with the fizzy, refreshing kick of the carbonation. The bits of seeds I bit into here and there added a fun, popping texture.

Passion fruit ade made with sparkling water

Personally, I liked drinking it mixed with plain water too, but the sparkling water ade was my favorite way to enjoy it, cold and refreshing. It would pair well with the choux too, cutting through the sweetness with its tang.

Is FLU:ET worth a visit? Final verdict

From the soft cream packed inside the crisp choux to the tangy-sweet passion fruit handmade syrup, FLU:ET was a satisfying haul.

The choux in particular were generously sized and packed with cream, so even eating just one gave real satisfaction when I was craving something sweet. And the passion fruit syrup is really delicious, so if you visit, be sure to try it!!! If you're looking for a great dessert spot in Sajik-dong, I recommend "FLU:ET."
