Marine City Chinese restaurant: extra-large ganjajang with ocean view
In short
Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant in Marine City, Haeundae, Busan, opened by the Western restaurant Bueokgan. From a floor-to-ceiling window table looking out at the Haeundae sea, the order was the extra-large poached-egg five-layer pork ganjajang (12,000 won), the beef brisket jjamppong (12,000 won) and the small black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk (28,000 won). The black vinegar sauce tasted clean enough that every last piece of tangsuyuk went, and both the view and the food quality made for a satisfying meal at Bueokgan Chinese.

I visited Bueokgan a while back, the one famous for Western food — do you remember that one? 😋 The interior was so pretty and the food so satisfying that I kept an eye on what they were doing next!
And guess what — 💡 turns out Bueokgan also runs a Chinese restaurant called 'Bueokgan Chinese'?! The weather's been so nice lately and I was already trying to figure out where to go, and it happened to be closer to my place, in Marine City, so I ran right over 🏃♀️💨

What is the ocean view and private room like at Bueokgan Chinese?
The moment I walked in, an actual "wow..." escaped my mouth ✨

A fantastic ocean view of Haeundae's sea filling the floor-to-ceiling windows, plus a luxurious yet sleek interior — this place was completely my type 💖

With a private room too, it's perfect for a date or a family gathering — a real Marine City must-visit !!!! The atmosphere was on point.
What we ordered at Bueokgan Chinese and what it cost

After a lot of deliberation, I went with a solid pick of the signature recommended dishes! 🤤

- Poached-egg five-layer ganjajang (large) ₩12,000
- Beef brisket jjamppong ₩12,000
- Black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk (small) ₩28,000
- Zero-sugar cola ₩2,500

While we ordered and chatted away admiring the sea, the dishes we'd been waiting for started arriving one by one! The visuals alone were mouthwatering 📸✨
Poached-egg five-layer pork ganjajang, extra-large (12,000 won)

• Poached-egg ganjajang (black bean noodles)! 🍳 A savory ganjajang sauce made from pork belly and onion quickly stir-fried over high heat, topped prettily with a soft, moist poached egg! It's a large portion so it was super generous — mixing in the burst egg yolk with the savory sauce and taking a big bite was pure perfection.. 😋 The thick, savory bite of the pork belly, the crunch of the onion, and the softness of the poached egg all came together for insane flavor 👏 Full of umami — I was so glad I got the large size, hehe 🤍
Beef brisket jjamppong, the spicy seafood noodle soup (12,000 won)

• Beef brisket jjamppong! 🔥 (Namchini's pick! 👍) Loaded generously with thinly sliced beef brisket, whose savory meaty flavor melted naturally into the rich jjamppong broth for pure deliciousness! Spicy and tangy just enough, with a deep flavor that really hits the spot — I couldn't stop reaching for my chopsticks after the first bite 🤤 Great as a hangover cure or as a solid meal at this Dongbaekseom-area favorite!
Black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk, small (28,000 won)

Last but exceeding expectations — the signature black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) 🥩 (Kiran's pick! 👍) Even the small size came in a pretty generous portion! The batter was soaked in a luxurious sauce made from Chinese black vinegar, tangy and sweet with a deep, refined flavor. The batter was crisp yet chewy, and the thick pork loin inside gave it a great bite! Regular tangsuyuk can get a bit much after a while, but thanks to the clean finish of the black vinegar, I cleaned every last piece 🤍
Is Bueokgan Chinese in Marine City worth a second visit?
Enjoying delicious, upscale Chinese food while looking out at the wide-open Haeundae sea made for a really satisfying meal.
The view was pretty and the food quality was excellent — this is a Haeundae spot I'd love to come back to!
