We all have more fun if we eat out one meal on the weekend haha~.~ This is the place we run to whenever my little one says "Mommy I want pork cutlet~"! Here's another re-re-re-visit review of Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch, our go-to restaurant with a baby in Seongbok-dong, Suji.

This place specializes in 33 life-changing noodle dishes, and I'm not exaggerating, every single menu item is actually delicious. How is that even possible? Seriously, it is!

Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch has a spacious, clean interior with tables set well apart, so bringing a young baby doesn't feel stressful at all. My second baby Kkyul is still little, so we tend to avoid places that are too cramped ㅠㅠㅠ She's a cooperative baby, but you never know what might happen!

True to being a kid-friendly restaurant, the self-serve bar has baby dishware, scissors, cups, small plates and everything else ready — there was nothing I needed to ask staff for.

Of course there's a baby chair too.

Vegetable-topped flat mandu, 8,000 won for 8 pieces

The vegetable-topped flat mandu (₩8,000) is something I order without fail every visit. This is genuinely a special dish! It comes out first, so it kicks your appetite up right from the start. Maybe because this place is known for good jjolmyeon, but that vegetable topping... yum, not spicy but full of savory depth, and the seasoning is truly addictive.

You wrap the crispy fried mandu with the seasoned vegetables. It comes with 8 pieces, so it's a pretty filling portion.

Fresh noodle soup made with noodles pulled in-house

This is my favorite, the fresh-cut noodle soup. Here's why the noodles at Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch taste so good — they cut them in-house.

A warm bowl of fresh-cut noodle soup, even in summer. The noodles have this magic of never breaking! The broth itself isn't heavy, so it's easy to eat, and honestly it's perfect for a hangover cure too. If you're like me and love a clean anchovy-broth noodle style, the fresh-cut noodle soup might be right up your alley.

Bouncy, springy noodles are the whole point here!

Hot jjolmyeon, the standing order at this Suji noodle spot

This is the hot jjolmyeon my husband ordered. He seems to get this every single time we come! Jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) is usually just the tangy-sweet style, but hot jjolmyeon is a bit unusual, which makes it kind of addictive? It even has a spicy seasoning mix in it, so this hot jjolmyeon is eaten a little on the fiery side.

If you like chewy noodles and a warm broth, I recommend this one!

Pork loin cutlet, the dish the kids finish first

The pork loin cutlet at Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is my little one's absolute favorite. The noodle dishes are already impressive, but the kids' menu is also top quality. Order the cutlet and it comes with both sauce and curry, which makes us order extra rice too. Curry is a rice-thief, after all~.~

The meat is thick and properly fried to a crispy-outside, juicy-inside finish — a style anyone, kids and adults alike, will love!

Goods cup and tteokkkochi events at Chilseong Jemyeonso

The food at Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is delicious, but the events are generous too. Join the Instagram event and get a Chilseong goods cup! Leave a Naver review and get tteokkkochi (rice cake skewers)! The tteokkkochi here is also tasty, so be sure to try it.

Free parking and a walk along Seongbokcheon stream

I tend to avoid places wherever parking is a hassle, but Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch has free parking right in the building, so weather isn't even a factor. It's free with no time limit, so a stroll along Seongbokcheon stream right out front is a must after eating! We always walk it off before heading home. The weather's been so nice lately that it's perfect for just walking — let's all soak up the autumn!
