Pistachio fig tart and gift boxes at Yeongdeungpo café BYWAY BAKERS
In short
BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch is a large bakery café on Dangsan-ro 27-gil, right by Yeongdeungpogu Office Station in Seoul. Floor-to-ceiling windows, an LP record display and wide seating surround cases of financiers, salt bread, chocolate baguette and butter tteok, and the staff recommended the seasonal pistachio fig tart, which BYWAY BAKERS also packs into gift boxes for Chuseok. The mood suits catching up with friends more than quiet work, but the bread itself is the real reason to come.

I visited BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch, a bakery café spot near Yeongdeungpogu Office Station.

BYWAY BAKERS 16 Dangsan-ro 27-gil, 1st floor, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch
Open weekdays from 8am to 9pm, and weekends from 9am to 9pm.

Inside BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch: atmosphere and seating
The inside of this Yeongdeungpogu Office Station café was even bigger and roomier than I expected, which I loved. There was also space set up like in the photo, good for reading or working on a laptop.

They had LP records on display too, which was fun to browse haha.

Maybe because the seats were so comfortable and pleasant, a lot of tables were already full of guests chatting away. It felt more lively than quiet, so I think it'd be a great café for meeting up with friends!

The café is spacious to begin with, but one whole wall being a floor-to-ceiling window really elevated the mood. With that much natural light, it gives off major weekend vibes~~~~

What's in the display cases, from financiers to salt bread
This café near Yeongdeungpogu Office Station really had such a wide variety of baked goods. It deserves to be called a bread hotspot near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office! Among the items on display were all kinds of financiers, including:
- Salty financier
- Fig
- Pecan pie
- Caramel macadamia
- Almond choco
- Golden cheese
I hadn't planned on getting a financier, but the baked color looked so good that it clearly had to be delicious... I was so torn ㅠ

Croissants, chocolate baguette, butter tteok. The wakppu salt bread seemed to be a signature item too, and there was butter tteok as well haha. Feels like a bakery that keeps up with trends^^

Baguette, focaccia, jambon-beurre, and bagels. Even though this is a café with a lot of desserts, every single basic bread looked amazing.

I'd read a lot that the salt bread here is delicious too! There's plain salt bread, mocha salt bread, corn cheese salt bread, and egg mayo salt bread. Plus garlic baguette and red bean bread.

You can also buy packaging boxes based on quantity, so this could work as a gift too.

Chocolate baguette, salt bread and butter tteok at BYWAY BAKERS
They had my beloved chocolate baguette... I have surprisingly strong preferences when it comes to chocolate baguette. I like the kind with actual raw chocolate that screams 'I'm chocolate!!!!!' rather than a baguette with a faint hint of cocoa, and this one had thick, gooey-looking chocolate sauce spread right down the middle — I obviously had to pick it;;

The salt bread looked so good too that I casually grabbed one haha. Even better that the price was reasonable!

The butter tteok (rice cake) from BAKERS bakery had this unusual touch — a bit of salt sprinkled on top. I bet that sweet-and-salty combo made it even more delicious!

It's fig season right now, you know! And there was a new pistachio fig tart topped with fresh figs. The carrot rapé & egg mayo sandwich looked like a solid, filling option too, good as a light meal.

What's on the drink menu?
Alongside coffee staples like Americano and latte, there were also signature drinks like the salty cream latte and brown sugar cream latte.

There was a nice range too — the once-trendy ube latte, milk tea, an unusual chamoe (Korean melon) matcha ade, and coconut smoothie.

Chuseok gift boxes and staff recommendations
They can also package the baked goods beautifully for Chuseok gifts~~~

I asked for it to be wrapped, and the staff member was so kind that it really made my day 🥹 If that staff member is reading this — thank you (?)

How does the seasonal pistachio fig tart taste?
The seasonal pistachio fig tart! The staff recommended it, so I bought one — and just seeing the fresh-looking figs on top already got me excited,,

A crisp pastry/tart shell on the bottom, pistachio filling, and figs piled on top! I never knew pistachio and fig went together this well!! There was clearly a reason the staff recommended it as their seasonal pick.. If you visit, make sure you try this seasonal tart😆
BYWAY BAKERS, a bread spot near Yeongdeungpogu Office Station
Overall the space was clean and bright, and the variety was impressive — from the bakery lineup to the coffee menu. It didn't just feel like a nice café to hang out in; it was genuinely a bread hotspot. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a café near Yeongdeungpogu Office😆
