I did an opening-time run at 9 AM to Working Holiday, the number-one brunch spot near Gwangalli Beach :) 🫶🏻

Last time I visited in the evening and had delicious pasta and pizza. I had such good memories of it. As expected—today was suuuper satisfying too :) 🧡

Arriving right at opening was lovely because it was quiet before the crowds came in.

Quiet Working Holiday café at opening time

Most of all, the view of Gwangan Bridge and the sea through the floor-to-ceiling windows was truly amazing.

The night view of Gwangan Bridge impressed me last time, while this morning had a completely different feel: a bright, sun-filled atmosphere where I could enjoy brunch at leisure ☀️

There are lots of seating options, so I think each visit can feel a little different.

The café is spacious with comfortably spaced tables, and the wood-toned furniture and plants created a relaxed yet exotic atmosphere.

What comes with the Big Brekkie?

The menu I was most looking forward to this time was Working Holiday’s Big Brekkie 🍳🥑🥐 It’s a big brekkie that captures Australian vibes perfectly.

Working Holiday Big Brekkie menu

A huge plate arrived generously loaded with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, half an avocado, salad, and a large croissant.

The scrambled eggs were especially moist and soft, pairing so well with the salty bacon and sausage. The salad and avocado made for such a nice spread too :)

Working Holiday’s Big Brekkie is something I want to eat every single day. 🥑🥑

And that big croissant 🫶🏻 It was crisp outside with beautifully defined layers. They say it’s made in-house.

I split the croissant in half, piled in scrambled eggs, avocado, and bacon, then took a huge bite—so delicious, haha.

It was a generous brunch that was fun to mix and match however you like.

The Margherita pizza I ordered again

The Margherita was so good on my last visit that I ordered it again this time. 🍕

It’s the most classic pizza, topped with tomato sauce, cheese, and basil, and it was just as delicious. Working Holiday says it uses dough that is aged for a long time with the Viga fermentation method.

The edges were appetizingly baked in a wood-fired oven, while the inside was chewy yet light, so I enjoyed every last bit of crust.

A pizza true to the basics, with the fresh tang of tomato, rich cheese, and basil fragrance all coming together nicely :)

Last time in the evening, today in the morning—and my conclusion is that this place is so, so good whenever you come 🧡

Morning visit to Working Holiday Minrak

I loved being able to start the day leisurely under the morning sun, looking at Gwangan Bridge. I got 2 hours of parking and even took a walk around Gwangalli Beach! A day that started at Working Holiday 💙 I was happy :)
