Jamsil-saenae Korean restaurant, octopus bibimbap: Jamsil Cheotjip

I was in Jamsil not long ago after my kid had a checkup, and stepped out for lunch. Looking for somewhere simple to eat alone around Jamsil-saenae, I dropped by Jamsil Cheotjip. It's inside the Trigium shopping complex so it wasn't hard to find, and the menu ranged from gimbap (seaweed rice roll) to bibimbap, noodles, and pork cutlet 😊

The octopus in Jamsil Cheotjip's octopus bibimbap kept its chewy texture, and the seasoning blended well with the rice. When my order arrived and I saw the warm rice topped with octopus and various ingredients, it made me even hungrier. The colorful toppings alone were enough to get my appetite going haha

The portion looked pretty generous at a glance, plenty for eating alone. I mixed the seasoning thoroughly into the rice and toppings and took a bite — the octopus was chewy and the seasoning blended well with the rice. Delicious!!

Best of all, when eating lunch alone, sometimes ordering just one dish feels like not enough — this time I also ordered gimbap, and going back and forth between it and the bibimbap meant I got to try a bit of everything without getting bored.

Both dishes turned out to be packed with vegetables. It felt filling but also somewhat like a healthy meal haha. I'd stopped by planning something simple and solo, but having two dishes together turned out more filling than expected — good for filling an empty stomach after my kid's checkup.
