Dongtan hair salon bob glossy straightening and root perm: Juno Hair

It's about time for me to get my hair done again... maybe it's just me, but medium-length hair always looks kind of stuffy when it grows out haha. I can't seem to escape the bob life... lol. With Chuseok coming up, I decided it was time.

Whenever I think about growing it out, my Instagram algorithm shows me almost nothing but bobs haha. So I guess I'm going bob again. At this rate I might just be stuck in bob mode forever.

Where is Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch, and where do you park?

Back at Juno Hair SRT branch again today! Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch is in the Lotte Front Castle complex by Dongtan Station, so parking is easy and it's only 5 minutes from my house — a really convenient spot.

My husband and I both love Juno Hair. He goes to a different branch, but I like having one close by! Once I use up my membership package, I'm thinking of switching to the one near home.

If you come from the Lotte Department Store entrance side, there's a dedicated parking lot for the complex. If you get confused, check YouTube to find your way!

If you spot Hana Tour on the 2nd floor, you've found the right place! I made it!

There's pricing info at the entrance, but since there's a 20% first-visit discount, it seems best to book through Naver first before visiting.

Inside the salon: kids room and single-person shampoo rooms

It's not easy bringing kids along to get your hair done, but Juno Hair SRT branch even has a kids room. So kid-friendly haha. Great for parents who want an easier visit.

This is the single-person shampoo room, where you can get a shampoo done comfortably on your own. I had my care done here today — small thing, but you can really feel the thought put into the guest experience haha. Oh, and the stylist who washed my hair today was amazing! Great pressure and very thorough shampooing.

Further inside there's another area used when the salon gets busy. Looks like you could get comfortable service even on weekends. The Dongtan Juno SRT branch is quite large.

There's also a shampoo room for private care — I'd love to try that one sometime haha. The shampoo chair looks super comfortable.

Glossy straightening 220,000 won plus root perm 100,000 won with designer Yejin

What I chose at Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch was low-maintenance glossy straightening plus a root perm add-on. Straightening was around ₩220,000, and the root perm add-on around ₩100,000. First-time visitors get a discount!

Here's my hair before the service... about to enter 'bedhead zone' territory haha. It had also been about 3 months since my last straightening, so lots of flyaways up top.

Today's designer was Yejin! She had a bob herself, so I had a feeling she'd design mine nicely. Since every style I wanted required finishing with a flat iron, I decided on the low-maintenance glossy straightening instead. First, the cut! And of course — roots are everything to me, so I added the root perm too.

Then heat is applied so the solution absorbs well —

And a delicious Americano and cookies show up! The little bear on the Americano is so cute... the cookies are Grains cookies too, my favorite. So good haha. I've been dieting so I hadn't had them in a while, but I could still tell the taste haha... gotta go buy some at Lotte Department Store once the diet's over.

While I sipped my Americano, the stylist finished the root perm, straightening, and neutralizing all at once... her hands are seriously fast. If you're the type who gets restless sitting still, I'd really recommend designer Yejin haha. That's not to say she isn't thorough! She's just fast-handed haha.

The finished bob: a cut that only needs blow-drying

Ooh, shorter and neater now! The glossy straightening I got at Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch is so easy to maintain — just a light blow-dry does it. Root volume perm is a must when you do straightening haha. I never skip it... without it, my hair would turn into limp seaweed haha.

So neat and clean haha. Perfect style for going into 'good daughter-in-law' mode this Chuseok haha.

Her hands were so fast, everything finished in about 2 hours haha. Amazing — straightening plus volume perm done in 2 hours! If anyone's thinking of getting their hair done near Dongtan Station, this place is worth a visit haha.
