Men's cut and Korean head spa at a Dongtan hair salon: Juno Hair

In short

Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch is a hair salon in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, about 322m from Dongtan Station exit 2. The writer's husband had a men's cut with Senior Designer Kang Yu-rim of Trend Design, then a scalp spa: a magnified scalp check, product application, shampoo, and steam with scalp massage in a massage chair in a separate spa room. Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch suits men who want a cut and scalp care in one visit rather than a quick trim.

Hi everyone, it's Dumbo 🐘 My husband's hair had gotten pretty long on the sides and back, so it was time for a trim. This time we decided not to just do a plain cut but to add a scalp head spa too, so I dragged my husband — Mr. Toned-Abs, as I call him — to Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch.

At first I just thought, oh, it's a day for my husband to get a cut and a bit of scalp care^^ But then it was cut, check the scalp, apply product, shampoo, steam, and even lie back in a massage chair for a scalp massage... The more photos I took, the more I thought — wait, shouldn't I be the one getting this?? hahaha My husband had himself a proper pampering day^^

Where is Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch? Hours and parking

Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch is at 150 Dongtan-yeok-ro, Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, Lotte Front Castle Building B, Units 201–206, South Korea, open every day from 10:00 to 21:00. It's about 322m from exit 2 of Dongtan Station, so it's an easy walk if you're coming from the station.

If you're driving, the guide said to follow the pink guide line at the residential building entrance, then follow the pink commercial-lot line at the parking entrance until you reach the barrier gate.

Inside Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch: window-side seats and a separate shampoo area

The moment I walked in, I felt how much bigger and airier the space was than I expected. Juno comes from the Roman goddess Juno, equivalent to Hera in Greek mythology — so the Dongtan SRT branch is apparently designed with the motif of a temple where the goddess Hera lives.

Walking in, you immediately sense the scale, and the arched shapes and lighting catch your eye too. But what I personally liked more than the flashy interior was how generously the space was used.

Styling chairs spaced out beside a floor-to-ceiling window

The styling chairs weren't crammed together — they were spaced out by zone — and best of all, you could get your hair done right next to a huge floor-to-ceiling window. It didn't feel stuffy at all since you could see outside, and the natural light made the whole place feel bright and comfortable.

According to the explanation I got during the visit, the space was divided partly with the pandemic era in mind, to reduce contact between customers. The shampoo area was also separate from the general styling area, and each seat could be curtained off, which looked like it made shampoos and scalp care that much more comfortable.

Shampoo area separated by curtains

The waiting sofa where I sat while my husband got his hair done was pretty cozy too hahaha My husband worked hard on his hair while I sat comfortably sorting photos... we each had our own relaxing time^^ hahaha One more thing that caught my eye was a kids' area!

Kids' area visible through a floor-to-ceiling window

Can you bring kids? The glass-walled kids' area

Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch has a separate area for kids to play, and instead of being fully walled off, it has a floor-to-ceiling window so you can see inside. So you can immediately check on what your kid is doing from outside.

When you bring your kid to a hair salon, you naturally worry about whether they're doing okay while you get your hair done. In that sense, being able to see your child playing while getting a treatment seemed like a real plus for family visits.

Books set out in the waiting area
A comic book spotted on the waiting area bookshelf

There were books set out to read while waiting, and I spotted a very familiar Dragon Ball comic among them hahaha never expected to run into Dragon Ball at a hair salon^^

And as you'll see later, that's not even the end — there was a separate SPA space too. According to the salon's description, they have a Berspa shampoo bed with a full-body massage function. At first I wondered what was so special about that, but once I saw my husband actually lying down getting cared for... ah, so that's why it's called a SPA^^ hahaha

The men's cut: from consultation to balancing the sides and back

Senior Designer Kang Yu-rim of Trend Design handled my husband's hair this time. Instead of jumping straight into the cut, she started with a consultation about his current hair condition and the look he wanted.

My husband wanted the overall length trimmed but not too short — more natural and clean. The sides and back had grown out a lot in particular, so she focused on balancing those areas.

He got a shampoo first, then the cut properly began!

The men's cut beginning after the shampoo

She trimmed the back with clippers and gradually shaped the sides and top with scissors to even out the overall length. Watching and taking photos, I could tell she wasn't cutting in big chunks all at once,

but cutting, checking the length, trimming a little more, and continuously checking the overall shape.

The cut in progress with the overall shape being checked

As the cut progressed, you could clearly see in the photos how the shaggy sides and back were getting tidied up — ooh, getting cleaner ♥️♥️ Especially once the neckline in back got neat, everything looked much more polished.

Magnified scalp check: redness and fine hair

After the cut, before starting the actual scalp care, she checked his current scalp condition. She showed us the scalp magnified on screen — normally it's hidden under hair so you rarely get to see it this closely. Seeing it on screen was surprisingly clear, and honestly a bit shocking hahaha

She explained that my husband's scalp had reddish patches here and there, and that his hair overall was on the finer side. So this time they decided to focus the care on calming and soothing the scalp.

During the treatment, she mentioned that scalp sensitivity can happen when someone sweats a lot on their head, has trouble releasing heat, or wears hats often. She said she sees a lot of male clients with sensitive scalps like this. ㅠㅠ

My husband hadn't realized his scalp was in this state until he saw it magnified and the redness became obvious — good thing we checked it out this time. And watching his scalp for so long, I suddenly got curious.

What about my scalp...? hahaha So she took a quick peek at mine too, and thankfully said I didn't need any separate scalp care right now. Phew^^ So today's focus target was officially my husband — guess he'll be the one getting scalp care from now on hahaha

※ This wasn't a diagnosis of the exact cause or any condition behind the redness — it's based on the explanation given during the visit.

Product application, steam, then shampoo

After checking the condition, she applied product to the scalp in earnest. Not just a quick swipe on top — she parted the hair section by section to make sure the product reached the whole scalp evenly and thoroughly.

After applying the product, she massaged the scalp by hand. Since the care was tailored to the scalp condition checked earlier, it wasn't just a generic shampoo or massage — you could actually see why you were getting this specific care. hahaha And then a huge bread-hat-looking thing went on — pyung pyung—

Wearing a steam device after scalp product application

hahaha He said it was nice and warm — I was cracking up next to him hahaha After the steam, his hair got nice and moist, and then it was time to

Scalp shampoo received after moving to the shampoo area

move to the shampoo area for a thorough wash. They even put an eye mask on him and washed his hair while he lay back comfortably, massaging his scalp piece by piece... watching from the side while taking photos, I started thinking more and more — okay, shouldn't I be getting this?? hahaha

Lying down for a shampoo with an eye mask on

From the scalp check to the care to the shampoo, everything was done by hand with such attention that my husband was just lying there getting properly pampered^^... The shampoo wasn't just a quick wash either — you could see them carefully working through every corner of his scalp.

They also used a scalp massage machine, which apparently has 5 levels total — a kind of tap-tap-tap sensation on the head. You can start from level 1! My husband only went up to level 2 hahaha I kept watching from the side taking photos, and seeing him lying there so comfortably, I thought I wish that were me lying there too... but then I remembered his magnified scalp condition from earlier... okay, fine, you take this one...

The Korean head spa in the massage chair spa room

The separate SPA room with calm lighting

I thought once the shampoo was done, that was it^^ but nope. She carefully applied product to his hair again, and this time we moved to a separate SPA room. It had a completely different vibe from the regular shampoo area — the lighting was calmer and the space more separated, making it feel a lot cozier.

And the moment you walk in, you see that bed-like chair... turns out it's a massage chair hahaha

Lying on the massage chair under a blanket

My husband got to lie back comfortably on the massage chair, and they even tucked a blanket over him properly. I walked in to take photos and almost lost it laughing hahaha Why is this so comfortable...? Him poking just his face out from under the blanket was way too funny hahaha

They connected steam equipment near his head and started the steam treatment in earnest, while my husband kept lying comfortably in the massage chair.

So basically the situation was: head getting a scalp head spa, body getting worked over by the massage chair^^ I was over here busily taking photos while my husband was having a full-on paradise experience alone hahaha If you just looked at the photos, you wouldn't know if he came for scalp care or a vacation. Honey... you married well, right?^^ Where else would you find a wife like this hahaha

Scalp massage after the steam, and the final rinse

You'd think once the steam ended, that was it, right? Nope, still not done hahaha After the steam treatment, she thoroughly massaged his scalp by hand and finally rinsed his hair. You can tell from the photos that her fingers were pressing firmly into every part of his scalp.

We chatted with the stylist during the shampoo, and she mentioned that Juno Hair runs fairly systematic staff training, including customer service training. Everyone who worked on the cut, scalp care, and shampoo was consistently friendly with their explanations and service. Especially during the longer processes like the shampoo or SPA, the attentiveness really showed — I thought, ah, this must be what comes from that service training hahaha

By this point, I honestly wasn't sure if I brought my husband here for hair care or just to relax^^ hahaha From the steam to the massage to the final rinse, everything flowed in one space, so he got to lie comfortably for quite a while during the scalp care. Finally, they rinsed his hair clean and wrapped up the SPA room treatment!

Blow-dry, final detailing and the finished look

Shaping the hairstyle during the blow-dry

After finishing the whole scalp head spa, we went back to the seat and he got his hair dried. Not just drying off the moisture — she reshaped the overall hairstyle while blow-drying.

Once the hair was fully dry, you could see a few strands sticking out here and there. At the end, she carefully touched up those side and back sections one more time. Especially the back — trimming it neatly made the neckline area look a lot tidier. It wasn't just a cut and done — with the scalp head spa, the blow-dry, and the final detailing, it really felt like a full, thorough treatment from start to finish. Finally done!

Finally, all done! We took photos from the front, side, and back — noticeably cleaner compared to before, right? The shaggy sides and back especially got tidied up, making everything look much more polished, and the front fell naturally without being cut too short. My husband liked how it turned out too. His hair got fresh but why is his expression so serious...^^

Worth it? Getting a men's cut and scalp care together near Dongtan Station

Went in for a haircut, came out with a scalp head spa and massage chair too hahaha My husband got a proper pampering day!

This time we tried a cut plus scalp head spa for my husband at Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch. At first I just thought, let's get his hair tidied up and try scalp care too — but actually going through it, the process of magnifying and checking his scalp condition first, then tailoring the care to that, was really impressive.

From shampoo to cut, scalp check, product application, another shampoo, steam and scalp massage in the SPA room, and finally the blow-dry and detailing! Especially watching him lying comfortably in the massage chair in the separate SPA room... honestly, I was the one who was jealous watching from the side hahaha My husband probably felt like he went in for a haircut and came out having properly rested^^ Meanwhile I just busily took photos the whole time...

Still, the cut turned out clean, and it was an interesting experience getting to actually see my husband's scalp condition up close, which you don't normally get to check. If you're looking for a Dongtan Station hair salon near the station where you can get a men's cut and scalp care together, check out Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch :)
