Jamsil bar with ₩100 draft beer and acorn jelly soup: Wareureu Mansion

My algorithm has been completely taken over by raw shrimp sashimi lately... and even though I don't usually eat raw seafood, I really wanted to try raw shrimp sashimi haha. So I went looking for somewhere I could get it without going too far, and I found Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch!

Where is Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch in Bangi Food Alley?

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is on the second floor of a building inside Bangi Food Alley, so it was really easy to get to! We came here for our first round, but the location seemed perfect for a second-round bar in Bangi-dong too haha 👍🏻

Once you step inside, the orange lighting gives it a pretty nice vibe! 🧡 There was also a large screen on one side, and that day they were showing a baseball game! It was perfect for having a drink while watching baseball haha.

Nearly full before 6pm: how busy does it get?

We arrived a bit early thinking there would hardly be anyone, but it wasn't even 6pm yet and the place was almost full..? Turns out Wareureu Mansion opens from 2pm, so a lot of people come here for daytime drinking too! At this point, isn't this basically a top spot for daytime drinking near Jamsil?! haha

Menu and drink prices at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch

The snack lineup here was genuinely impressive. From the trendy buldak (fire chicken) omelette to cheese peeling, raw shrimp sashimi, chewy potatoes, and yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) wrapped in onion — almost every hot menu item right now was on the list haha! Looking through the menu, I wanted to try everything, so it was really hard to choose... (I honestly spent ages just picking the menu haha.)

And if you arrive before 7pm, draft beer is ₩100! Soju is also ₩5,500, so considering it's in Jamsil, the drink prices were really cheap!

Is this a menu item you can order — 'a kind staff member'? haha I was looking at the menu board and found this so funny I ended up taking a photo without even thinking!

Macaroni comes out as the basic side dish, and since my friend and I are both soju people, we ordered soju! Can you see the soju in the photo…? I absolutely love places where the soju comes out this ice-cold..♥ Can't resist chilled soju~ so my friend and I had a drink right away with the basic side dish haha!

What is the 10-bowls-a-day Sinan raw shrimp sashimi like?

After a long deliberation over the menu, I finally ordered the raw shrimp sashimi I'd wanted to try the most! This was truly a choice I don't regret at all!! It comes already prepped in-store, so I didn't have to peel the shells myself, which made it so easy to eat, and the shrimp were completely fresh too.

Apparently Wareureu Mansion, a bar in Jamsil, makes it a principle to receive shrimp caught and shipped the same day off the waters near Sinan, and sell it the same day! And the raw shrimp sashimi is limited to 10 bowls a day. That's probably why the shrimp tasted so fresh and delicious 🤤

Muk sabal (chilled acorn jelly noodle soup): a far bigger bowl than expected

We also ordered muk sabal (acorn jelly noodle soup) thinking we'd just have a light bite, but the portion was anything but light haha. We kept laughing, saying 'wait, why is this so much?' 😂 In the end we got so full that this was the only thing we left a little of.

Is Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch worth it as a budget bar near Jamsil?

Overall, the side dish portions were generous and the drink prices were cheap, so Wareureu Mansion was a really satisfying budget-friendly bar near Jamsil! The raw shrimp sashimi I was most looking forward to was even fresher and tastier than expected, so I think I'll order it again next time I visit haha!

There's also a ₩100 draft beer event before 7pm, so it seems perfect for anyone looking for a great spot for daytime drinking near Jamsil!
