How long is the wait at Pickles in Jeonpo on a weekday evening?

Today I'm sharing my review of Pickles, where I went for pizza in Jeonpo! There are so many good restaurants in Jeonpo that I was going back and forth on dinner, but I ended up craving pizza and visited Pickles, a place I'd heard was really good!

We went around 6pm on a weekday with two people, and even at that hour there was already a wait, ugh.

Still, we registered on Catch Table and waited, and we were seated after about 15 minutes. Pickles is pretty close to Jeonpo Station, so it seems like a solid pick when you're looking for a place to eat in Jeonpo! 😊

Inside Pickles: the mood of this small Jeonpo pizza restaurant

Once we got inside, the atmosphere was pretty nice too. Overall it was clean but warm, comfortable enough for a meal with friends but also nice for a date :)

Actually, the table right next to us was having a blind date❣️ That made me think this really is a Jeonpo restaurant with a good atmosphere!

As soon as we sat down, cutlery and wet wipes were already neatly set out for us!

There was also a self-serve bar where you could grab pickles, tissues, and water yourself.

Pickles half-and-half pizza and pasta set: prices and what you get

We ordered the half-and-half pizza + pasta set, which lets you have pizza and pasta together🍕 The half-and-half pizza lets you choose 2 toppings, so we picked jambon-beurre and potato, plus bacon cream pasta and a zero-sugar cola to drink.

As of the current menu, the jambon-beurre pizza is ₩25,000, the potato pizza is ₩23,000, the bacon cream pasta is ₩16,000, and a soft drink is ₩2,500!

After ordering, we waited a bit and a salad came out first as a starter — it was way better than I expected. It was a nice light bite before the pizza and got my appetite going, so I really enjoyed it😋

When we ordered the zero-sugar cola, they also gave us an ice cup with lemon in it.

Drinking it out of a cup with lemon in it, rather than just plain, made it so much nicer to sip alongside the meal❣️

Is the bacon cream pasta at Pickles too rich?

The bacon cream pasta we ordered with the pizza arrived! The cream sauce clung thickly to the noodles and there was plenty of bacon in it, so it looked delicious right from the start🥓

They mixed the sauce and noodles together nicely for us! The thick cream sauce coated the noodles so well that after mixing it looked even more appetizing.

I twirled some up and took a bite — the cream sauce was smooth and savory, and the bacon added a salty crunch that made it delicious. Cream pasta can easily get heavy, but the saltiness of the bacon balanced it out, so it wasn't as heavy as I expected and I kept eating!

You could also taste bits of onion, scallion, and garlic mixed in, and the cheese on top added even more savory depth! I thought pizza alone might be a bit lacking for two people, so we added the pasta set, and I was glad we did🥰

Half jambon-beurre, half potato: which side of the pizza wins?

And finally, the pizza arrived🍕 One pie, split evenly between jambon-beurre and potato. The jambon-beurre side had jambon ham and butter with arugula on top, giving it a clean look and pretty color! The potato side had big chunky pieces of potato piled on, and you could tell right away the potato topping was generous, haha.

I was glad we went half-and-half, because the jambon-beurre and potato sides had completely different charms.

Jambon-beurre pizza at Pickles (25,000 won)

First, the jambon-beurre had jambon ham, a pat of butter, and arugula on top, and the combination worked better than I expected. The salty jambon ham paired with the savory butter, and the arugula added a fragrant touch, so even though it's pizza, it tasted a bit different from your typical topping pizza.

If you like jambon-beurre, it's worth trying at least once! Highly recommend!!

Potato pizza at Pickles (23,000 won)

And the one I really loved was the potato! The potato pieces were seriously huge. You could take a big bite with the potato right on the pizza, or eat the potato pieces on their own — either way, it was salty and delicious.

The potato had such a strong presence that it felt less like a pizza topping and more like eating a proper potato dish, and I loved that❤️ Honestly, the potato pizza might be the best pizza I've had in Busan🥔

Would I go back to Pickles near Jeonpo Station?

Whichever side of the half-and-half pizza at Pickles you get, I think you'd be satisfied. The jambon-beurre, with its ham, butter, and arugula combination, is a great pick if you like something a little different, and for me, the potato stood out as especially delicious. The big chunky potatoes were salty and tasty, and the more I ate, the more I kept reaching for the potato side, haha.

So if I go back next time, I'd definitely order the potato again, and probably pick a different pizza for the other half! Pickles is a place I'd recommend stopping by whenever you're craving pizza in Jeonpo💚
