Suyeong café for jamón eggs Benedict: Working Holiday Minrak

Working Holiday Minrak on the 7th floor at the far end of Gwangalli Beach

Working Holiday Minrak (워킹홀리데이 민락) is the ocean-view brunch café among the Gwangalli cafés I’ve visited where you can see Gwangan Bridge from the closest vantage point. I was in Gwangalli for the first time in a while, so I decided to stop by!

Working Holiday Minrak is a café on the 7th floor of the Badamaru building, right at the far end of Gwangalli Beach. The commercial building offers one hour of parking support, so I could park comfortably before visiting!

How to order and the brunch menu

Before entering the café, you order at the kiosk by the entrance, then go inside and find a seat.

There was such a wide range of options, from classic brunch sandwiches to eggs Benedict, French toast, salads, Italian pizza, pasta, steak, sides, soup, and desserts.

There were plenty of drinks too, including coffee and non-coffee drinks, ades, fruit drinks, sodas, beer, and wine, so it was easy to pick whatever suited your taste.

Maybe because Working Holiday Minrak stays open until late at night unlike other brunch cafés, it had a wide wine selection too 〰

Ocean views from every seat and a Gwangan Bridge spot

True to its reputation for ocean views, Working Holiday Minrak opens up to a sweeping ocean view as soon as you walk in. The floor-to-ceiling windows leave nothing blocking the view, and the sense of openness was seriously incredible • •

The café takes up an entire floor, so it was huge inside and had lots of different seating. There were standard tables for two or four, sofa tables great for families, and group tables for up to eight people, so I think you can visit without worrying about finding a seat at all!

Every seat inside has an ocean view, but at the very back of the café there is a view where Gwangan Bridge is visible at a glance, so that’s where I settled in ₊˚ ⊹ ♡

There were outdoor tables as well as indoor seating. The Gwangan Bridge view from inside is lovely, but on a nice day the view outside is definitely on another level ✨

There is a barista who won gold at the 2026 Global Yeongdo Coffee Festival, and they were selling coffee beans too!

Chicken avocado sandwich and jamón eggs Benedict

We ordered the chicken avocado sandwich (₩18,000), jamón eggs Benedict (₩21,000), and an iced Americano (₩5,500) at Working Holiday Minrak.

For the chicken avocado sandwich, I could choose either a salad or soup as the side, so I went with the lighter salad. For the jamón eggs Benedict, you can choose sourdough or a croissant (+₩2,000), and I chose sourdough!

Chicken avocado sandwich

The chicken avocado sandwich (₩18,000) comes with juicy grilled chicken, soft avocado, and herb mayo. The combination of ingredients was so good, but the sauce in particular was truly delicious. Even the salad dressing on the side was tasty, so I think they’re just really good at sauces in general.

Jamón eggs Benedict

The jamón eggs Benedict (₩21,000) is topped generously with jamón, a cured ham made in-house. You eat it with the taco-style vegetables served alongside it, and the soft-cooked eggs were absolutely perfect. The soft eggs and jamón, the popping texture of corn plus tomato and onion, and the crispy sourdough—it may have been the best eggs Benedict I’ve had recently ♡

The iced Americano (₩5,500) used beans that were more acidic than I expected, so it wasn’t quite for me, but I think people who usually enjoy acidity would find it delicious!

Working Holiday Minrak was perfect in every way, with its beautiful Gwangan Bridge view and delicious brunch ₊˚ ⊹ ♡
