If you've lived in Seoul for a while, you've probably tried every date course there is. Good food, a café, a movie... I wanted to break away from the usual pattern this time, so I decided to try something genuinely different.

That's the Sailing Paradise Han River yacht tour in Yeouido^^

I've been to the Han River more times than I can count, but I'd never actually looked at Seoul from a yacht on the water.

Bottom line: it's the same river, but the vibe from the water is completely different from looking at it from land.

Watching Seoul's lights come on one by one as the sun went down, I felt like I was briefly on a trip somewhere else, haha.

How do you get down to the Sailing Paradise dock?

The Sailing Paradise boarding spot is at the far left end inside Hanriver Paradise. Go down this way and keep walking all the way to the far left — that's where the Sailing Paradise boarding point is^^

We'd eaten an early dinner so we skipped the ramyeon, but even not being hungry I still wanted some, haha. There's a convenience store at the entrance, worth noting!

Finding Sailing Paradise in Yeouido

Sailing Paradise is located inside Hanriver Paradise, 252 Yeouidong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

When people go to the Han River, they usually think of laying out a mat for a picnic, or a walk, or cycling. This time, just thinking about going out on a yacht got me a little excited before we even left^^

Best of all, it's a way to enjoy something different without leaving central Seoul. You don't need to travel far to have a unique experience on the Han River in Yeouido, so it would suit anyone looking for an anniversary or a special date course.

What is a 6-person shared yacht like?

On this trip, six of us including our group boarded the Sailing Paradise yacht. We put on life jackets as soon as we got on~

We finally boarded! At first I thought, 'How special can a yacht ride on the Han River in Seoul really be?'

But once we set off, my thinking completely changed, haha.

Sitting on a slowly moving yacht with the river breeze on my face, busy Seoul felt like it had briefly slipped away. It looked nothing like the Han River I usually saw passing by in a car.

Unlike faster water sports, what I liked was being able to slowly take in the scenery while chatting.

That's when I understood why people looking for a Han River yacht tour date prefer sunset or evening hours. I kept taking photos~

How Seoul looks from the middle of the Han River

Once the yacht started moving, your eyes naturally drift to the surroundings.

Buildings and bridges I usually pass without a second thought felt completely different when seen from the water.

The open view made for great photos, and even though we were in the middle of the city, there was no cramped feeling at all.

With just the right amount of wind, simply sitting and looking at the scenery was refreshing^^

Personally, if you're planning a yacht tour, riding after it's fully dark is nice too, but I'd recommend the window from before sunset into night views.

That's because the mood keeps shifting — bright daytime Han River, then sunset, then night views.

Sunset turning into Han River night views

As the sun slowly went down, the mood shifted dramatically.

Daytime felt cool and clear, but as evening came, lights started turning on one by one across the buildings and bridges around the Han River — really pretty.

With the lights reflecting on the water too, I almost forgot I was in the middle of Seoul, haha.

So if you're looking for a Han River night-view yacht tour in Seoul, I personally think the evening hours are quite appealing.

Photos come out with a totally different mood than in daytime, and the night view itself, seen from a yacht, was special.

Different height and angle than the night views seen from the Hangang riverside park — it felt like seeing a familiar Seoul in a new way.

Why the Sailing Paradise yacht tour works as a Seoul date

Having tried it myself, I get why so many couples come here.

Dates tend to circle back to meals and cafés, but a yacht tour's biggest advantage is being something you actually experience together.

Taking photos on the yacht, enjoying music and the river breeze while talking, and then watching the night views once the sun sets.

Especially for a birthday or anniversary, when you want a day that's a bit different from usual, this would stay memorable for a long time. It seemed good not just for couples but for friends wanting a special experience in Seoul, or for making memories with family^^

Verdict after sailing with Sailing Paradise

I went in with the simple thought of 'let's try riding a yacht once!' but it was more satisfying than expected.

What I liked most was getting a travel feeling right in the middle of Seoul without going far.

Sitting on the yacht with the Han River breeze looking at Seoul's scenery was great, but personally, the moment the lights started turning on one by one as the sun went down was the most memorable.

If the same old date course is starting to feel a bit tired, the Han River yacht tour date is worth trying at least once^^

Especially if you time it right, from sunset through to night views, the mood is definitely even better.

Even living in Seoul, I never realized there was this way to enjoy the Han River!

If you're looking for a Han River night-view yacht tour in Seoul or planning something special in Yeouido, try experiencing a different side of the Han River at Sailing Paradise, haha.
