Yeonnam-dong pasta restaurant lunch for two: Pastiar salmon bowl
In short
Pastiar is a recently opened pasta restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Donggyo-ro 38an-gil in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo, Seoul. For a lunch with a friend, the writer ordered basil pesto pasta at 17,000 won, ricotta cheese salad at 15,000 won and salmon rice bowl at 16,000 won and split all three, a combination that worked well because nothing overlapped. With homemade sauces, salmon aged in-house and a cozy wood-toned room, Pastiar suits both an easy Yeonnam-dong lunch and a date.

There are so many pretty restaurants in Yeonnam-dong that it's always hard to pick one that nails both atmosphere and taste. I had a lunch date with a friend in the neighborhood, so while looking for a nice-vibed restaurant I ended up at Pastiar, which recently opened.

The menu ranges from pasta to rice bowls, salads and steak, and I was curious because most of the dishes are made in-house, homemade style.

Where is Pastiar in Yeonnam-dong, and what are its hours?

What is the interior of Pastiar like?
Walking into Pastiar, the wood-tone interior mixed with plants and small decor pieces gave it that cute, cozy feel typical of Yeonnam-dong.
The window seats especially let in natural light, and the whole place felt quiet and cozy — it seemed like a great spot for a Yeonnam-dong date or blind date.
There are also tables for larger groups, so it looked like a good option for gatherings with friends or engagement announcement meetups too, haha.

What is on the menu at Pastiar?
Pastiar's menu was more varied than I expected — ragu pasta, bulgogi cream pasta, basil pesto and other pastas, plus sous vide steak, salmon dishes, rice bowls and salads.

They sell highballs too.

Three dishes two people can share at Pastiar

Basil pesto pasta ₩17,000, ricotta cheese salad ₩15,000, salmon rice bowl ₩16,000 — these are the three I ordered.
By picking one pasta plus a salad and a rice dish, nothing overlapped, so the combination worked really well for sharing between two people. There's a side dish too haha.
Homemade pickles! So good.

Ricotta cheese salad, 15,000 won
I ordered the ricotta cheese salad to eat alongside the pasta. Pasta alone can get a bit heavy midway through, but the fresh vegetables and ricotta cheese cleaned the palate each time — glad I ordered it together.

The combo of soft, mild ricotta and crunchy vegetables made it a nice light appetizer, and it also worked well as a brunch-style dish.

The vegetables were super fresh.

The cheese was thick and creamy, so good.
Salmon rice bowl, 16,000 won
Pasta alone felt like it wasn't quite enough, so I picked the salmon rice bowl as our rice dish! Pastiar ages its salmon in-house, so I was curious about the salmon dish too.

Taking a bite of the tender salmon with rice, it had a clean, mild charm that was totally different from the pasta.

If the basil pesto handled the fragrant, nutty flavors, the salmon rice bowl felt clean yet filling, keeping us full.

The salmon had no fishy taste and paired well with the wasabi.
Basil pesto pasta, 17,000 won
An oil pasta made with pesto from fresh basil — the moment it hit the table, the distinct fragrant scent of basil came through immediately.

Rather than heavy like a cream pasta, it was oil-based so relatively light to eat, and the basil's aroma and nutty flavor blended naturally into the noodles.

The pesto wasn't too strong or salty, so it wasn't overwhelming even after a few bites, and the noodles were cooked just right, which I liked.

If you like basil, this is a dish worth ordering at Pastiar ❤️

Verdict: Pastiar for a Yeonnam-dong lunch or a date
Pastiar, which I found while looking for a good pasta restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, impressed me overall — from the homemade-style dishes made with their own sauces and fresh ingredients, to the cozy, emotional interior.
It seems like a great fit for days when atmosphere matters, like a date or blind date, but also for a relaxed lunch with a friend in Yeonnam-dong.
