Daegu dog café near Jungangno Station, no dog needed: Daenghaus

Three friends got together and were trying to figure out where to go, and that's how we ended up at Daenghaus&Bingsuking!

This time we didn't bring a dog along — it was just the three of us. Honestly, I'd always figured a dog café would be more fun if you actually brought your own pup, but visiting in person, it turned out to be way more fun than expected.

You can naturally hang out with the adorable dogs there, and it's also just fun to watch them run around excitedly, so honestly we lost track of time. 🐶💕

Where is Daenghaus&Bingsuking, and what are the hours?

Daenghaus&Bingsuking is located in a standalone building at 95-2 Jungang-daero 81-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu.

It's about 507m from Exit 1 of Jungangno Station, so it's a pretty convenient spot to reach by subway too.

The building itself was bigger than I expected, which got me excited even before going in, and once inside there really were all kinds of spaces set up for dogs. It's open until 22:00, and along with pets being welcome, reservations and group visits are possible too. It's also wheelchair accessible, which is worth knowing if you're planning a visit.

Can you visit this Daegu dog café without a dog?

This was honestly the best part of visiting Daenghaus&Bingsuking. Even though the three of us didn't bring dogs, we still got to hang out with the shop's own dogs.

Watching the dogs run around and play everywhere was so cute. 🥹

While chatting with friends, whenever a dog passed by we'd naturally glance over, and we ended up laughing a lot at how cute they were.

The owners got to relax with their drinks while the dogs played among themselves, and it made me think — if I ever get a dog, I should definitely come to Daenghaus. It was that much fun, haha.

Watching the dogs happily run around got us feeling just as playful ourselves!

Between chatting with friends and playing with the dogs, we honestly lost track of how many hours passed — the time flew by.

Even if you don't own a dog, if you just generally love dogs, this is a place you could easily spend a fun few hours.

Floor by floor: dog pool, playground and kindergarten

Another thing that caught my eye while looking around Daenghaus&Bingsuking was how many different facilities they have for dogs.

There's a dog pool (1st floor), a dog playground (2nd floor), and even a dog kindergarten (3rd floor) and grooming salon (1st floor).

I'd assumed it would just be a space to have drinks alongside dogs, but there were way more facilities than expected, which made it fun just to look around. The dog playground in particular is on the 2nd floor.

Going up to the 2nd floor, there's a dedicated space where the dogs can run around and play.

No one was there when we visited, but just imagining dogs running all over the place happily made me feel good. 🐾

The playground even had space set up for birthday parties!

The restrooms are also on the 2nd floor. If you're planning to visit, worth noting that the 2nd floor has the dog playground, hotel, and restrooms. The 3rd floor runs the kindergarten, and maybe because of that, they were also selling bags and various items there?! Dog entry fees at Daenghaus&Bingsuking

Daenghaus&Bingsuking charges an entry fee if you bring your dog along. It's ₩5,000 for dogs under 6kg and ₩7,000 for dogs over 6kg, with the pool dry room costing an extra ₩5,000.

Since we visited without dogs this time, the entry fee didn't apply to us. Next time, it might be fun to come with a friend who has a dog and actually use the facilities with a pet.

What three friends ordered: vanilla bean latte, hazelnut latte, misugaru

Since we were at a café, we each ordered a drink. The three of us picked whatever we each wanted. In the end, our order was one iced vanilla bean latte, one iced hazelnut latte, and one misugaru (roasted grain drink) with milk.

You can order directly with staff, but there's also a kiosk, which was convenient.

Staff bring the drinks to your table, so make sure to pick a seat first!!

If you visit with friends like we did, it's nice that everyone can pick their own drink and just relax and chat comfortably.

Sipping drinks and chatting with friends, playing with the cute dogs in between — it all made the time pass even faster. ☕️🐶

There was also a Naver receipt review event going on. If you leave a receipt review, they give you moist chicken breast treats for the pups!!! Definitely worth taking part.

The bingsu menu at Daenghaus&Bingsuking

Something else that caught my eye on the menu was the bingsu (shaved ice dessert) options. True to having 'Bingsuking' in the name, there was a surprisingly wide variety of bingsu.

There was injeolmi red bean bingsu, red bean bingsu, injeolmi bingsu, mango cheese bingsu, strawberry cheese bingsu, blueberry cheese bingsu, passion fruit bingsu, caramel pop bingsu, choco brownie bingsu, Dubai chocolate bingsu, matcha bingsu, and more. The injeolmi red bean bingsu was ₩15,000. The menu also noted a ₩1,000 discount on drinks and bingsu for takeout.

We only ordered drinks this time, but with such a wide bingsu lineup, I'd love to try one on our next visit. 🍧

Who Daenghaus&Bingsuking suits in Daegu

Even though we came without a dog this time, the three of us had a genuinely great time.

Sipping tasty drinks and chatting with friends, hanging out with the adorable dogs, and checking out the facilities all over the place — the time just flew by.

Watching the dogs run around happily especially put us in a good mood too.

For dog owners, you can bring your dog along and use all the different facilities, and even for people like us who didn't bring a dog, it was great to be able to spend time hanging out with the cute resident dogs.

It was also impressive that beyond the dog pool and playground, there's a dog kindergarten and grooming salon too — so many different spaces set up just for dogs.

If you're looking for a dog-friendly café in Daegu, or you just generally love dogs and have been wanting to try a dog café, this is worth a visit. 🐶 A place where you can have plenty of fun with friends even without bringing a dog, like we did!
