Inside Think Fruit, a dessert café near Hongik Univ. Station

Think Fruit is a dessert café located in Hongdae, worth checking out for anyone searching for cafes in Hongdae near Hongik Univ. Station. Hongdae is such a café-dense neighborhood that even deciding on one dessert becomes part of the fun — 'what should I try today?' This place, with its focus on soufflés and fresh fruit desserts, was the kind of spot that grabs your attention from the menu alone.

The interior was set up in a way that made it easy to relax while enjoying dessert. It'd be a nice stop if you're out shopping or on a date in Hongdae and a sweet craving hits. Since soufflés are usually cooked to order, this isn't really a grab-and-go spot — it suits a visit where you've got time to settle in and enjoy dessert properly.

The fruit showcase and menu board — worth checking before you order
Inside Think Fruit there's also a fruit showcase. Seeing all the fresh fruit on display, fitting for a place that specializes in fresh-fruit desserts, built up my expectations for the menu.
I also looked over the menu board. Think Fruit in Seoul serves soufflés along with other fruit-based desserts and drinks. Keep in mind the fruit lineup can change with the season, so it's worth checking what's available that day. There was also a review event notice posted in the store, so if you're interested in joining, take a look when you visit. Always smart to check these notices before you order!

The drink: peach oolong tea
The drink I ordered alongside the soufflé was peach oolong tea. Peach dessert and peach tea — this really was a peach-themed day 🍑 Pouring the tea into a cup, it was nice to sip slowly while waiting for the soufflé. If you like tea as your drink of choice alongside something sweet, this pairing is worth considering.

The peach soufflé: a mix of firm and soft peaches
Peach soufflé 🥞 Finally, the main event of the day! The peach soufflé arrived, and the visual alone was pretty mouthwatering. A fluffy soufflé piled high with fresh peaches, cream, and ice cream on the side — just looking at it, you could tell sweet times were ahead. If you're on the hunt for the best soufflé in Hongdae, a visual like this is hard to walk past 🫠

There was a generous amount of peach on top, making it easy to enjoy the soufflé and fruit together. With fresh-fruit desserts, the overall experience really depends on the fruit itself — and the peaches that day were a mix of firm (ddakbok) and soft, juicy (mulbok) varieties, so the texture wasn't just one note. Crisp peach and soft peach together meant each bite felt a little different.
Cutting into the soufflé to make it easier to eat, the soft, fluffy texture was obvious right away. Much lighter and airier than a regular pancake — that pillowy quality really came through.

Cream and Häagen-Dazs ice cream combo
The cream on top of the soufflé was another highlight not to skip. Pairing the fluffy soufflé with the cream added an extra layer of smoothness — and then adding the Häagen-Dazs ice cream on top of that, well, need I say more. This combo is one of those things better tasted than described 🥹
Eating the soufflé, cream, and peach together, you get the fluffy texture, the fruit's freshness, and the cream's smoothness all at once. If you're a fan of sweet desserts, this is a combination you'd likely enjoy a lot.

Having whole peach pieces on top is also a fun part of this dish ⭐️ Cutting the peach on top of the soufflé into bite-sized pieces lets you enjoy the fruit's flavor and the soufflé's softness at the same time.

With such a generous amount of fresh fruit on top, it was easy to pair in bites of peach between bites of soufflé throughout. If you love peaches, this kind of fruit topping will be especially welcome 👍🏻
Final thoughts on Think Fruit, a Hongdae soufflé spot
Think Fruit in Seoul turned out to be a great café to visit when you're craving fresh-fruit desserts and soufflés in Hongdae. The peach soufflé I tried was piled generously with fresh peaches, and the mix of firm and soft peach varieties meant I got to enjoy a range of textures in one dish.
The soufflé itself was soft and fluffy, and adding the cream and Häagen-Dazs ice cream brought out the sweet-dessert appeal even more. As a well-known soufflé spot in Hongdae, I also noticed plenty of international customers during my visit, along with that lively energy Hongdae is known for.
If you're looking for cafés near Hongik Univ. Station or want something special at a Hongdae dessert café, and you like soufflés topped with fresh fruit, Think Fruit is worth checking out. Peach lovers in particular will find this dessert a pretty welcome option.
Next time I visit, I think I'll check the menu board first to see if there's another fruit soufflé to try. After all, dessert isn't something that only fits when you're not full — it's food that somehow makes room for itself even when you are 🍑
