Daegu Italian restaurant Signature Set with mom: Etrenne Jukjeon
In short
Etrenne Jukjeon Branch is a steak and pasta restaurant in an apartment complex in Dalseo, Daegu, three minutes' walk from Exit 2 of Jukjeon Station. Ordering the Signature Set (₩77,000) with her mother brought pre-meal bread, salad, half-and-half lasagna, cream tenderloin steak, and sangria in sequence, and the spicy cream sauce wasn't heavy at all, which pleased both of them since neither usually handles cream well. For two people to try the lasagna, the Signature Set or above is the way to go.

After a spicy gukbap (Korean soup) yesterday, I was craving Western food today. Turns out there's a lasagna place near home, so I took my mom along!

3 minutes from Jukjeon Station Exit 2, and where to park
This is Etrenne, a steak and pasta restaurant. It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Jukjeon Station on Line 2, located in the Daewoo World Mark Westend apartment complex!
You can park in the complex's parking lot — the entrance is on the opposite side from the main road, so I marked it clearly so you don't get confused! Register your parking at the restaurant after eating.

Hours
Open daily 11:30-22:00, break time 15:00-17:00, last order 21:00. Closed September 25 for Chuseok.

Browsing the menu, why the set is the better call
At first I wondered what BTS meant, turns out it's Black Tiger Shrimp haha

This is the existing Special Set menu. It's based on 2-4 servings, so if you're dining with others, the set menu seems cheaper and better composed! For two people to get a set that includes lasagna, you need to order the Signature Set or above.

You can also order steak, lasagna, and pasta a la carte. Spicy dishes are marked with a chili symbol, and if you're not sure what to pick, choosing something marked "best" should lower your chances of going wrong haha
Here's the beer, drinks, and wine menu. Wine can be ordered by the glass. It's 150ml, so you can enjoy a light taste alongside your meal.

There's a weekday lunch set too, so if you're visiting on a weekday, ordering that might be a good option.

Finding the restaurant and first impressions
In the World Mark Westend apartment complex, there's a staircase leading up to the second floor between Paris Baguette and Starbucks — the restaurant is on the ground floor to the left of that!

Turns out the owner used to be a manager at Outback Steakhouse's very first branch!

Etrenne is French for "gift," apparently haha

It's an open kitchen, so the delicious smells make you even more hungry haha

What's in the Signature Set (₩77,000)
The restaurant has a cute, cozy feel. After some deliberation I ordered the Signature Set (₩77,000), which comes with pre-meal bread, salad, cream tenderloin steak, half-and-half lasagna, cola, and sangria (or Bundaberg).

Pre-meal bread and salad
The bread came out first. It's baguette bread spread with what seems like garlic-infused butter, sweet and savory and just so good! If they sold this separately I'd stock up haha

Next came the salad. Topped with cheese and a tangy sauce that really perks up an already good appetite.

150ml sangria
The sangria arrived! At 150ml it's easy to enjoy even during the day without feeling heavy. A slight tannic edge balanced with just the right sweet-sour mix — honestly the best wine I've had so far!

Half-and-half lasagna: potato and classic
Finally, the lasagna arrived.

The two on the left are potato lasagna with mashed potato and cheese, and the two on the right are authentic Italian rolled lasagna loaded with rich ragu and béchamel sauce.
The tomato sauce had a savory depth and tang I hadn't tasted before — really delicious.

This is the classic lasagna. Packed with ground meat, it has a rich, satisfying flavor that just wraps around your mouth. The lasagna noodles were crisp and chewy too.

This is the potato lasagna. The cheese mixed with mashed potato gave it a nutty, light cheese flavor that I really liked.

Spicy cream tenderloin steak
While I was lost in the lasagna, I almost forgot about the cream tenderloin steak, which then arrived.

The cream has spicy seasoning mixed in, so it wasn't heavy at all. Both my mom and I usually can't handle cream-based dishes, but this spicy cream really suited our taste. The meat was tenderloin too, so it was soft.

I ordered the meat medium. The moment I finished taking photos, my mom cut it all up so I could eat comfortably haha. There are also two pieces of baguette that come with it, which were great dipped in the cream or the tomato sauce from the lasagna haha

Pasta Day and the review perk
The 10th and 20th of every month are Etrenne's Pasta Days. Don't miss the chance to get pasta normally priced ₩14,000-17,000 for just ₩10,000! Leave a receipt review and they'll give you a free Bundaberg.
Had a really good, satisfying meal at Etrenne, the lasagna spot near Jukjeon Station! Next time I'll come back for the BTS set.
