Weekday lunch pork rib all-you-can-eat with mom in Dalseo: Gankeun

On days you're craving meat, all-you-can-eat is still the best! No need to hold back, that's the biggest perk of these places. This time I went to Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch, one of the go-to spots in Ieok-dong. I usually eat pork belly and makchang (grilled intestines) here often, so this round I went for the pork ribs haha.

I visited during lunchtime. Unlimited meat starting from lunch already feels reassuring haha. A great meat spot in Ieok-dong, and the parking lot is spacious too!

There's a lunch special and all-you-can-eat option too haha. Choosing the meat you want and eating it unlimited — eat however you like!! Perfect for tailoring the meal to your taste.

Atmosphere, seating, and the kids' zone

A clean entrance the moment you walk in haha. The indoor restroom was tidy too!

The self-serve bar is spacious, and you can swap out the grill plate yourself too~~

The seats are really spacious, right?? Since it was a weekday opening run it was quiet, but after eating the meat I could tell weekends would be packed. The meat was tender and so good.

There was also a room for group dinners, plus a full kids' zone playroom!!

What's on the self-serve bar

It's not just the meat that's unlimited — the vegetables are piled high too, plus seaweed soup and fried shrimp haha.

Tteokbokki, ramyeon, drinks, and coffee — all included unlimited!! Eat spicy tteokbokki while eating meat, then ramyeon with fried shrimp, pick whatever suits your taste haha.

A great spot to bring kids too, complete with Gankeun Galbi's own bingsu (shaved ice dessert) haha. Ended up eating two bowls of bingsu that day...

How was the all-you-can-eat pork ribs?

First, bringing out a plate of pork ribs. Focused attack on the ribs. It's been a while since I ate ribs to my heart's content — the pork belly and makchang would probably be great too. The ribs were really tender.

Ate the tteokbokki and fried stuff before the meat even cooked haha. Told myself I'd just taste a little since I was already full, then ended up eating a lot.

Putting the ribs on the grill and cooking them golden brown — the smell of the meat grilling alone was so good. Tasting the well-cooked ribs, the meat was more tender than expected. With all-you-can-eat meat you might worry about toughness, but the quality here was fine and not chewy at all — totally satisfied!!

Naengmyeon is ordered separately

Ordered naengmyeon (cold noodles) partway through the meat haha. Already stuffed, but it's still warm out so cool noodles were calling, so I ordered! You really can't resist naengmyeon after meat.

A bite of cool naengmyeon cleaned up my palate and paired well with the meat too haha. Naengmyeon is ordered separately but everything else is included in the all-you-can-eat, so overall this is a top value meat restaurant. This is the only place in Ieok-dong that comes to mind for meat haha.

My mom was very satisfied too, saying the meat quality was good and tender haha. The sweet and salty rib marinade suited her taste and she kept reaching for more. Brought out one plate, then grabbed two more refills haha. Grill grill!! Literally ate until we were stuffed beyond words!!

Ramyeon, drinks, and even bingsu

For ramyeon there's spicy Jin Ramyeon and also Chapagetti. I was too full so I only had the ramyeon, but being able to have all of it together was very satisfying.

Drinks are unlimited too,,, being able to drink as much as you want really adds to the satisfaction.

Ramyeon, drinks, and finally bingsu! Ate one bowl of bingsu and then said let's have one more, so ended up with two bowls haha. Diet or whatever, that doesn't exist once you're at an all-you-can-eat place,,lol.

Self-serve grill swaps and parking tips

Swapping the grill plate while cooking the ribs is also self-serve, so I could switch it out without feeling self-conscious haha. Changing the grill plate whenever I wanted made it easy to cook the meat cleanly with no risk of burning it haha. Most of all, doing the lunch opening run meant eating leisurely and filling up on a solid meal!!

There's even a prize draw machine for kids haha. Apparently if you use the parking lot, you just ask staff for a token!! If you like pork ribs, definitely take note of Gankeun Galbi!!

They also give you a pack of Haribo jelly for a Naver review. I really ate as much as I wanted with the all-you-can-eat, and I wonder if there's anything left in the place after us… This time I focused only on pork ribs, but next time I want to try the pork belly and makchang too. When you want to eat unlimited to your heart's content, go with Gankeun Galbi! A place where the meat quality doesn't drop despite being all-you-can-eat!
