Late-night Daegu café with red bean cold brew frappe: Hands Coffee
In short
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a four-story café near Dongchon Resort in Dong-gu, Daegu. On a late-evening visit with a small child, the writer ordered the 20th-anniversary archive menu red bean cold brew frappe, a soy cream latte and a blueberry cream cheese waffle, then sat in the wide floor seating on the 4th floor. There are no baby chairs at Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, but the roomy floor seating and large private parking lot made it an easy late-night outing with a kid.

A big café stop after an evening walk at Dongchon Resort
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a large café near Dongchon Resort in Dong-gu, Daegu, using all four floors as café space. Since our daughter Yoontri took a very late nap and left a gap before bedtime, we visited Trii Walk in Dong-gu in the late evening. After spending a good while there, we stopped by this big café nearby to quench our thirst and fill our stomachs.
There are so many cafés around Dongchon Resort that this was actually our first visit to this Hands Coffee branch. Seeing it at night, the exterior gave off a Hogwarts-like vibe — really nice. Being a large café operating across all four floors, the scale felt massive.
The private Hands Coffee parking lot was so spacious, super satisfying ⭐

Since the café operates up to the 4th floor, there was an elevator running too. Of course, stairs were an option as well! Full operation really starts from the 2nd floor!!
2nd-floor order counter and the brunch sets sold only here

You can order at the 2nd-floor counter, and seating stretches all the way inward with plenty of tables. Ordering and payment are possible both via kiosk and directly at the counter!

The Double Tray Hands Brunch Set / Hands House Brunch Set are apparently sold only at the Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort branch. Isn't it great to be able to enjoy a set menu for a much cheaper price~!

The crisp, sweet Hands cookies were on sale right there too, and it seemed like a good idea to enjoy a cool old-fashioned bingsu (shaved ice dessert) before summer ends. By the way, if you take part in the Naver receipt review event you get 1 free Hands cookie, so don't miss out 👍

For anyone who loves coffee, the Hands Coffee hand-drip coffee is worth trying. From the summer seasonal drinks to the rich, delicious Sangha Farm ice cream — there was too much I wanted to eat, so picking a menu was really hard.
On top of that, Hands Coffee is great for dessert. The cakes are good, but this place is especially known for waffles, so today I picked my favorite waffle. Since it's made fresh to order, it comes out warm and is so delicious!

Once you're done eating, you just bring your dishes over here.
3rd-floor bar tables, 4th-floor floor seating and terrace
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch's 3rd floor also had a ton of seating arranged, plus a bar table that's great for enjoying some alone time. There's a women-only restroom on the 3rd floor!

Unfortunately, Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch didn't have a baby chair, but the 4th floor has this spacious floor seating area, which made it really nice to visit with a kid. Especially since we visited late at night, there were no other customers, so it was even more comfortable to use.

The 4th floor also has a terrace space, which was wonderful for enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the night view.

The 4th floor has separate men's and women's restrooms.
Yoontri relaxing comfortably in the floor seating area. But since the seat was right under the AC airflow, and she already had a runny nose, we had no choice but to move her to another spot. By the way, the floor seating area also has a heating function.
What we ordered: one waffle and three drinks

The blueberry cream cheese waffle I most wanted, plus the red bean cold brew frappe from the summer seasonal menu. And on top of that, the nutty soy cream latte! I ordered a wide variety. Did a little cheers with Yoontri who was drinking water~
How does the red bean cold brew frappe taste?
The red bean cold brew frappe is apparently part of the 20th Anniv. Archive Menu (a lineup reviving menus that were beloved in Hands Coffee's early days, newly reintroduced for the 20th anniversary). I already like red bean flavor and was curious, so I ordered it. Tasting it, I honestly couldn't really pick up coffee flavor — my mouth was filled with sweet red bean instead. It felt like eating a soft, sweet patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans)? Or a Bibibig (Korean ice cream bar)? Personally, I found it really delicious.
Soy cream latte: what to expect
The soy cream latte, ordered on my husband's pick. It had an appealing not-too-sweet, rich, nutty latte flavor, and if you want more sweetness, you can drink it straight through with the whipped cream on top. With almonds mixed in too, the nuttiness doubled and made it even more delicious. Soy cream latte, very satisfied 👍
Blueberry cream cheese waffle

The blueberry cream cheese waffle — this is everyone's favorite, the best and signature menu item, so no need to say much. So delicious ❤ Chewy glutinous rice waffle topped with sweet blueberries, soft cream cheese, and vanilla ice cream on top. A flawless combination! If it's your first time at Hands Coffee, this menu item is a must-try, no question 👍 It's on the pricier side, but definitely worth trying at least once!!
