Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch serves brunch until 5pm
Today's plan: brunch at Dongchon Resort! Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, and you can order from the brunch menu until 17:00.

Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is genuinely huge.

Just take the elevator up from the 1st floor.

Floors 2 through 4 of the building are entirely Hands Coffee!! A big café at Dongchon Resort — heading to the 2nd floor to order first! I always struggle to find a place for brunch in Daegu, but it turns out Hands Coffee has a brunch menu!

I stopped by today craving brunch! Brunch available from 10 to 5 — perfect for a late sleeper like me. Coming back to Dongchon Resort after a long time put me in such a good mood!

The interior you see after ordering is so aesthetic and pretty. Lots of older guests here too — and you know what they say, if a place is full of regulars, it's a good spot :)

3rd-floor window seats, 4th-floor floor seating and rooftop views
At Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch you can take the elevator up to the 3rd and 4th floors! The 3rd floor window seats were all taken, and the 4th floor has floor seating plus rooftop-view seats.

The view really did it for me — you can even see Dongchon Bridge from here!
Every window seat on the 3rd floor was occupied. The view out those windows is so pretty! I'd recommend this as a date café in Daegu too — I used to come to Dongchon Resort a lot in the early days of my relationship!

This is the 4th floor! There's floor seating here too! I could easily chat for three hours sitting there.

And there are pretty rooftop-view seats too! The whole view outside is just art... it'd be even prettier in autumn. There's a rooftop too! The weather for sitting out on the terrace with coffee is coming soon!

Set B with paccheri cream pasta added for 1,000 won
Back on the 2nd floor to pick up the food, hooray! This time I ordered Set B with pagery cream pasta added for +₩1,000, plus an iced americano.

So many guests here for brunch!

Doesn't this look so pretty though!? Coming out to Dongchon Resort for brunch was worth it. It really felt like it'd been forever since I went out for a good meal — after a massage and now brunch, I really felt like Korea is the best place to live haha. Just looking at that tray put me in a great mood.

Even the pickle was delicious... they say a good-looking rice cake tastes good too, and I have to agree here. It came out on a tray perfect for an Instagram-worthy shot! I was so hungry though — hungry Sonar strikes again.
What the paccheri cream pasta tastes like
The pagery cream pasta was carbonara-style, with thick noodles topped with bacon. The first bite was pure smooth cream flavor!

Yum, that cream pasta.
The first bite was a smooth, creamy flavor — bacon carbonara with thick noodles! I love flour-based dishes so this was a total win for me haha. This sauce would be great with gnocchi or dumplings tossed in too.
Topped with coarse black pepper and arugula, so good! Pile on plenty of bacon, pepper, and onion and you can finish a whole bowl in no time...

Eating on the sofa got uncomfortable partway through so I moved to a table seat haha. Time to get serious and start the food vlog. Master of scraping the bowl clean, that's me.
The jambon-beurre sandwich in Set B
Set B's jambon-beurre sandwich came with thick jambon and plenty of arugula. Eating this made me curious about jambon-beurre in general... I'm a sandwich fanatic so I was really looking forward to it.
I used to think, why does jambon always come with that butter, it's not even ang-butter (sweet red bean butter bread)... but the moment I took a bite, I totally got it. The buttery aroma and the bread itself were so delicious. Savory and chewy, with the jambon's saltiness and the slightly bitter arugula — the combination was insanely good... it seemed a bit plain at first but kept pulling me back in with that savory flavor. Above all, the texture of the bread paired with the butter was just art.

Look at that thick jambon and generous arugula! If it gets a bit plain while eating, what do you do? Dip it. It was delicious, honestly... the bread itself is a can't-go-wrong bread.
Wow, it was really so good...

Huh, where did it go... wait a sec...
