I woke up after sleeping in all weekend and wanted a simple brunch, so I went to Geurimseu, a brunch café in Cheonan~ Actually this isn't my first time here — I've been a few times already haha. Every time I come I feel the same way: the interior is really clean and there are plants everywhere, so green and lush, totally my style. It's not in the middle of downtown either, so it never feels crowded or hectic :)

What the second-floor weekend seating looks like

Geurimseu Cafe feels wide open and spacious the moment you walk in — it's a large café. I always used to sit on the first floor, but this time I tried the second floor, and even though there were quite a few people because it was the weekend, the seating spacing was generous enough that it didn't feel crowded at all.

Comparing it to my previous visits, the interior is always kept nicely maintained. The plants placed here and there naturally give it that green feel. 🌱 (I wonder how they keep them from dying...haha) The seating is split into several types too, so whether you come alone, with a group, or bring your dog, you can easily find a spot that suits you.

The little decorative touches and corner spaces really stood out too! I love terrazzo flooring, and wood tones with plants and yellow accents??? (These are the exact elements I'd want if I ever redo my academy's interior.) Since so many things I personally love are packed in here, I ended up loving the place even more 🥹💛

The outdoor terrace at Geurimseu Cafe

If you go out the back of Geurimseu Cafe, there's an outdoor terrace space. It's built like a slight hill, so the view opens up more the higher you go up — the scenery was really nice. The weather's been cool lately, so sitting outside taking in the view with a coffee sounds perfect.

Among Cheonan brunch cafés, the space itself is genuinely huge, making it a great spot to go relax and unwind.

Geurimseu Cafe's menu board was packed with everything from coffee to lattes, ades, teas, and brunch items. Drinks start at ₩6,000 for the Americano, and their signature Geurimseu butter latte is ₩7,500.

Bakery counter and dog treats

Geurimseu Cafe also has its own separate bakery case, so it's fun to browse the different kinds of bread. And there are even dog treats for people who bring their dogs haha. So cute right? 🐶

Last time I came there was way more bread, but since I visited past lunchtime this time, it seems a lot had already sold out~~ Overall, for a large café, the menu lineup is incredibly full. There's nothing missing 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

What we ordered: Geurimseu butter latte and gorgonzola pizza

At Geurimseu Cafe I ordered three things: the butter latte (₩7,500), a vanilla latte (₩7,000), and the gorgonzola pizza (₩16,000).

The Geurimseu butter latte is this café's signature drink, made with scotch butter cream and served with a homemade biscuit — the moment you take a sip, that scotch candy flavor hits right away, savory and sweet. The cream is genuinely delicious, so if you like sweet flavors you'll really love this one haha. The vanilla latte had a syrup aroma that wasn't overpowering, lingering gently, and it went down smoothly. It leaned more nutty than acidic, which is a flavor I personally like.

The gorgonzola was genuinely a moving experience!!! 🥹🥹🥹 It looked delicious just from the visuals alone. I don't know if it's wood-fired, but it tasted exactly like a wood-fired pizza. Chewy crust, salty and thick cheese... and then dipping it in honey — I was gone 〰️ Honestly I didn't expect much but I was so moved. Eating the butter latte and gorgonzola together, the sweet-and-salty balance was perfect...♡

Geurimseu Cafe has plenty of private parking spaces both in front of and below the café. Even visiting on a weekend, I could park comfortably without worrying about hunting for a spot :)

Why Geurimseu Cafe works as a Cheonan brunch café

Overall it's spacious and comfortable, plus the menu lineup is full, so it's a place that puts me in a great mood every time I visit. 🫧 More than anything, I only just found out this time that they're actually good at brunch — I'd been coming for coffee and bread only — and now I feel like I need to come more often. That's how shockingly good the gorgonzola was haha. The vibe varies by section and floor, so there were groups of friends, families, and even people working — not just brunch crowds. If you're looking for a Cheonan brunch café to spend a relaxed weekend at, I confidently recommend this one. 🫶🏻
