Gorgonzola pizza restaurant in Bangi-dong: rosé sauce combo at Hope So

Today I want to introduce Hope So, a pizza and pasta spot I found near Bangi Station 😊 There are plenty of places that do good pizza or pasta, but this one had a clear signature touch to every dish — honestly one of the most satisfying Italian restaurants I've eaten at recently.

How to get to Hope So from Bangi Station, plus parking

*Fastest way is to search "Hope So" (홉쏘) on Naver Map and hit directions :)

*It's about a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Bangi Station on Line 5. Come out of the exit, go straight, then turn into Wiryeseongdae-ro 18-gil — you'll see the two-story building with big folding doors open right away.

*It's near Olympic Park and the Bangi-dong restaurant street, so it's easy to find and a great stop after a walk.

The interior was really clean and spacious! There are two floors, with the restroom on the 1st floor.

Looks great for a group dinner, right? But it also felt totally fine for eating solo.

How the food tastes at Hope So

This isn't just any gorgonzola you'd find at any restaurant. This place has its own clear edge.

✔️ Thick cheese, rich flavor: several types of cheese are blended together, creating a thick cheese layer with a full, layered flavor that fills your mouth.

✔️ A perfect sweet-salty base: honey sauce is already properly layered under the pizza dough, so the sweet-salty balance is complete even without dipping separately! (Extra honey is provided on the side if you want more.)

2️⃣ Gamberoni rosé, the pasta of the day 🍝

✔️ Balanced, upscale flavor: not too strong or over the top, but never plain or bland either — this rosé sauce has a definite point of view.

✔️ Generous ingredients: plump shrimp and plenty of other ingredients made it very satisfying. It's great on its own, but the combo with the pizza mentioned above is really something special.

Pile a generous spoonful of gamberoni rosé pasta sauce 🍝 onto a slice of gorgonzola pizza 🍕 and eat it in one bite ❗️ The sweet-salty gorgonzola meets the soft, rich rosé sauce for one perfect mouthful. I highly recommend trying it this way :)

3️⃣ Margherita pizza, Hope So's best seller 🍅

✔️ Deep flavor from a house-made sauce: it doesn't taste like plain store-bought tomato sauce — you can tell it's made with this restaurant's own special method.

✔️ Clean and light style: since the tomato sauce takes center stage on this pizza, it's not overdone and keeps just the right balance. It paired very cleanly with the cheese on top as well.

Final verdict on Hope So

Overall, this place has such strong fundamentals with its basic cooking that I kept wondering, 'What would the other dishes taste like?' throughout the meal. The big-bowl tteokbokki series that other tables were ordering in large portions looked especially delicious, so I'm planning to come back soon with a beer to work my way through the rest of the menu!
