On the Sunday I visited, September 12, there happened to be an event going on at Sinchon Myeongmul Street, so I checked that out before heading in.

What we ordered at this Sinchon Korean BBQ spot was the beef platter and doenjang jjigae — plus that first beer in four months as a bonus 🍻
You all know beef has to be grilled almost like frying on a super-hot plate to be truly delicious, right? (Basic common sense for someone who eats meat 365 days a year like me.) After putting the plate on, the owner said, 'Wait 4 minutes with a stopwatch before putting the meat on~' and I thought, this owner really knows their stuff, haha.
We were hungry so let's get it on quick~ I'd had a bad morning because of an incident, but seeing the meat made me happy, and seeing the owner's friendly smile made me even happier.
Grabbing a thick piece of beef, the first bite always has to start clean with just salt~
Next up, beef brisket~ It cooks fast, which is great~ Wrapped in pickled radish with lots of green onion shreds, eating the beef brisket like this is pure bliss~
The point is cooking it almost like frying 💘 They sear the outside very quickly like frying while the inside stays rare, and even so there's zero gamey smell, just incredibly delicious 💘
The spicy doenjang jjigae was packed with ingredients and even had meat in it, so the flavor was seriously amazing.
I'd had a really rough morning with so many things going wrong, but eating this delicious meat prepared by the friendly owner and having a drink with a friend I love made me so happy 💘 This is what life's about.
