Express Bus Terminal dessert café in Seoul for madeleines: Remangdore

In short

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is a dessert bakery café near the Express Bus Terminal and Banpo Station in Seocho, Seoul. After a stop at Shinsegae Gangnam, the visit took in an iced americano, Basque cheesecake and a white chocolate Earl Grey madeleine, with every seat taken at lunchtime. The coffee at Remangdore is rich and nutty with almost no acidity, which makes it a good match for the sweet baked goods.

Where is Remangdore Seorae Village Branch, and what are its hours?

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is at 9-3 Sapyeong-daero 26-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and it's open daily from 08:00 to 21:00 (last order 20:30). I stopped by Shinsegae Gangnam and went looking for a good dessert spot nearby, which led me to Remangdore Seorae Village Branch!

It's close to Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam and Banpo Station too, so it's such a good stop to pair with a trip to the department store ☕️🤎

European vibes right from the entrance ~ 🤍🫧 It was so pretty I took a ton of photos before even going in!

Inside Remangdore: atmosphere and seating near Express Bus Terminal

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is a European-style bakery café filled with knickknacks and framed art. The whole space is really atmospheric — it made me want to sit inside sipping coffee and just spend time there •• 🫧🤎

The moment I walked in, my eyes were drawn to the little decorations and framed pictures,

and the smell of butter from the desserts mixed with freshly brewed coffee was so nice - 🤎

The store had lots of tables, and right when I walked in it was full since it was lunchtime. This photo is after the crowd cleared out!

Remangdore's menu and what we ordered

I loved that at Remangdore Seorae Village Branch you can swap the milk in coffee drinks for oat milk or go decaf. They had both coffee and iced-coffee menus, plus signature drinks and a today's-coffee option, so it seemed easy to order to your taste.

I ordered iced americano, Basque cheesecake, and a white chocolate Earl Grey madeleine.

True to a dessert-famous spot, the madeleines and financiers were displayed by flavor, and they all looked so good I wanted to try one of each!

Chuseok gift sets and the bread and pastry lineup

With Chuseok (Korean thanksgiving) coming up, they were taking orders for Chuseok gift sets, available in 6-piece or 12-piece boxes, which seemed perfect for gifting. Such a perfect Chuseok gift! ~ ❤️🎀

Besides financiers and madeleines, there were freshly baked baguettes and egg tarts too.

With so many dessert options, it's great for gifting and also great for a quick sugar boost!

I hadn't planned on ordering cheesecake, but the moment I saw the showcase I ordered ••💛

How the Basque cheesecake and white chocolate Earl Grey madeleine taste

Remangdore's Basque cheesecake is super moist and dense — the first bite made it clear it was a perfect match for coffee ~ 🤎🤎 While I was ordering and looking around, my order came out right away -

The taste, aroma, and looks were all so pretty — mouth, nose, and eyes were all happy ♥

Desserts and iced americano on the table

The coffee was rich and nutty with almost no acidity, and it was so good. Sometimes when desserts are sweet but the coffee has strong acidity I don't feel like coming back, but at Remangdore both the coffee and the desserts really suited my taste. While I ate, there were tons of takeout and delivery customers too.

White chocolate coated Earl Grey madeleine

The white chocolate Earl Grey madeleine was full of black tea aroma, and the sweet white chocolate coating went so well with coffee. There were lots of atmospheric corners for photos, and it seemed good both as a meeting spot and as a place to stop by alone for coffee.
