Dark roast coffee and madeleines at Remangdore, Seorae Village café

Isn't the weather lately just insane? Nice breeze blowing, exactly the season for drinking coffee outside. So I finally made it over to Remangdore, a bread spot in Seorae Village I'd been meaning to visit forever!

It kept coming up on Instagram looking so "European vibes" that I half-suspected it was just good photography... but nope, the second I walked in it was totally my style, I fell for it for real haha 🥹

Where is Remangdore in Seorae Village, and what is the café like?

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is at 9-3 Saepyeong-daero 26-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, in a Seorae Village alley not far from the Express Bus Terminal. It had been so long since I'd been to Seorae Village that I got there kind of excited hahaha. The exterior already passed the test!!

The interior design was so pretty too!

The moment I walked in, the desserts laid out at the entrance had me completely dazed lolol

Their financier and madeleine gift wrapping is really classy-looking, seemed perfect for gifting! Isn't it just so fancy?! It's so pretty I kind of wanted someone to gift it to me ㅠㅠ

Window seats and the outdoor terrace at Remangdore

Remangdore's store is also spacious, and the window seat was perfect for healing while people-watching outside on a nice day like today!!

I'd say the highlight seat at Remangdore Seorae Village is the outdoor terrace!! The air's nice and cool these days and the sunlight is so pretty. It's the kind of weather where you absolutely have to sit outside and drink your coffee!! Maybe that's why so many customers were eating outside? (I wanted to sit there too but there were no seats left ㅜㅠㅠㅠㅠ)

The drink menu was really extensive, and what I liked most was being able to pick the bean type haha

There were also so many kinds of baked treats and breads, this bread lover's eyes went wide all over again!! Every single one looked delicious ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I agonized hard between the chocolate baguette and the sweet pumpkin cream cheese country bread lolol, and ended up picking the pumpkin one since I saw a lot of people buying it haha

Maybe because I went a bit late, not every flavor of financier and madeleine was still available, which was a bummer ㅠㅠㅠ There were also a ton of takeout customers!!

The Basque cheesecake looked deliciously dense too, but I held off since it was before a meal ㅠㅠ

How do the pumpkin cream cheese bread, financiers and madeleines taste?

Zoning out while looking at the quiet Seorae Village alley view completely melted my stress away. I just want to keep doing nothing but this every day.... haha

When eating something sweet, I'm always team dark roast!! The coffee was so good! I like nutty beans with no sourness, and taking a bite of dessert then a sip of coffee was basically heaven ㅠㅠ

My top pick of the day!! No wonder everyone was ordering it!! Bestsellers earn that title for a reason!! You can really taste the pumpkin's clean, mellow flavor. The bread skin is super thin and chewy, and paired with the cream cheese it was so good I finished it in seconds lolol

Wait!! What is this dish they served the financier and madeleine on ♡♡♡ I only ordered one item but it felt like I was being treated like royalty!! It was so fancy-looking it felt almost a shame to eat!! The financier was properly crisp-outside-chewy-inside — every bite burst with butter flavor and the salt cut the sweetness just right!!! The madeleine had that cute little bump on top too, and inside it was packed with vanilla bean flecks and so moist!
