Sinbu-dong Cheonan café iced americano vs cream coffee: Brewers

Hi everyone~ I stopped by Brewers Coffee in Sinbu-dong, famous for its baked treats. The coffee is great and the baked goods are varied and delicious, so I've been here a few times with friends and on dates. The vibe, drinks, and dessert menu all hold up, so it's a place that comes to mind whenever I'm looking for a café in Sinbu-dong haha. This time too, I enjoyed coffee with a tasty canelé and madeleine, so let me tell you about it ☕️

Where is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch, and where do you park?

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is located within a 5-minute walk of Shinsegae Department Store. It's open daily from 12:00 to 21:00, and parking is available at both Sinbu Public Parking Lot No. 4 and No. 5 — first 30 minutes free, then ₩200 per additional 10 minutes, up to a max of ₩10,000.

I parked at Shinsegae and walked over, and it was closer than I expected. It'd be a good spot to stop by after shopping or a meal at Shinsegae. There's also Sinbu Public Parking Lot No. 4 right next door, so driving over shouldn't be too much trouble if you visit early in the day.

Inside the café and the takeout-only terrace seats

There were plenty of tables inside Brewers Coffee. Even so, seats can run out on weekends.

The lighting is soft and the interior has that aesthetic, cozy vibe — the kind of place that makes you want to order an espresso you can't even finish and sit reading a book haha. It's a great space for a relaxed coffee with a friend, and just as fitting for a date.

The weather's gotten a lot cooler lately, so we used the terrace seats. It's still a bit warm during the day, but there's a shade awning and the terrace space is nicely decorated, so it was better than I expected. If the weather cools down a bit more, I'd recommend the outdoor seats.

Water, napkins, and wet wipes were all set out on the terrace too, so I didn't have to keep going back inside whenever I needed something haha.

What is on the menu and in the dessert case?

Brewers Coffee has not just baked treats but a wide range of coffee and non-coffee drinks too. I like pairing desserts with an iced americano, but in the evening, coffee can feel like a bit much sometimes, right?

For those moments, you can switch to decaf beans, and lattes can be made with oat milk — nice options to suit your preference.

The dessert lineup was really varied. From flan, the French-style egg tart, to madeleines, canelés, and financiers, there was a wide range of flavors. Everything looked so good that even after already eating a meal, it was genuinely hard to choose just a few 🥲

Iced americano vs the signature Brewers Coffee

I ordered an iced americano and the signature Brewers Coffee. Since terrace seats are takeout-only, the drinks came in to-go cups and the baked treats were packed in a paper package.

The iced americano used nutty beans and was a clean coffee that paired well with the baked treats. The Brewers Coffee is a cream coffee topped with sweet almond cream — the combo of nutty coffee and sweet cream was tasty, but it felt a bit too sweet for me alongside dessert. So if you're visiting mainly for the baked treats, I'd recommend the iced americano; if you want to enjoy coffee on its own, the signature Brewers Coffee is a good pick.

How the pistachio canelé and almond choco madeleine taste

For baked treats, I ordered the pistachio canelé and almond choco madeleine. As you can see from the cross-section, the canelé had a dense, moist inside with real chewy texture.

The outside was generously coated in pistachio, so the nuttiness was maxed out 🤤 The almond choco madeleine was also on the moist side, and even with chocolate in it, it wasn't as sweet as I expected, so I could enjoy it without feeling weighed down.

Is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch worth a stop?

That was my review of Brewers Coffee, the baked-treats favorite in Sinbu-dong. As befits an already well-known café, the coffee was great, but the dessert lineup was just as varied and each item was delicious. With a nice interior atmosphere and terrace seats that are perfect for this kind of weather, it's a café that works well with friends or on a date. If you're looking for a café in Sinbu-dong to enjoy good coffee and baked treats together, I'd recommend giving it a try haha.
