Why we chose Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch

This time we went to get my husband's new glasses at Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch in Ilgwang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan. When getting glasses made, it's not just about picking a design — it matters to get recommendations that fit your actual eye condition and to compare several options in person before deciding!!

So this time we went looking for a place with a wide selection of glasses and thorough consultations. There were so many styles to choose from and the staff were so kind that we were really satisfied. Here's where we went!

Since it's located in Ilgwang New City, it was easy to find, and the first thing that caught my eye was how clean and tidy the storefront looked!!

I always imagined eyewear shops as small spaces packed tight with glasses, but this one felt open and clean even from outside, which I loved even more. Let's go in :)

How wide is the frame selection at Barabon Glasses?

The first thing I felt walking into Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch was "wow, there are so many glasses!!" haha. So many styles and designs — great for anyone who's been wondering what kind of glasses to try, since you can actually compare them side by side :)

My husband was also unsure at first which style would suit him, but it was nice being able to try on several pairs and compare directly. Glasses look different in photos versus on your actual face, right? The feel changes depending on your face shape and vibe, so being able to compare a range of options was a big plus!

What the optician's consultation covered

One of the most satisfying parts of this visit was the consultation! The optician explained everything so kindly, and instead of just pushing one pair on us, they let us compare several options — I really appreciated that!!

My husband tried on several pairs while thinking it over, and having someone explain the pros and cons alongside him made the decision much easier.

What stood out especially was that they didn't just recommend based on design — they carefully explained which lenses would suit his current eye condition and what factors to consider!

Kids' glasses, lenses and payment options

Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch also had a wide range of kids' glasses. They also carry slip-free "tomato glasses"!

There were so many lens options! And payment was flexible too, with Toss Pay, Face Pay, Dongbaekjeon, and more accepted :)

An iced americano while you wait

There was one more thing I secretly loved haha — a coffee machine and ice were ready to go! Getting to enjoy an iced Americano while getting glasses made felt like such a nice little touch :)

Picking frames and going through the consultation can take longer than expected, so it was nice to sip coffee and browse at ease. If you love iced Americanos, this will make you especially happy :)

From the eye check to the finished glasses

With the frames picked out, my husband went in to get his eyes checked! Glasses being pretty is important, but ultimately they need to be comfortable to actually wear them long-term, right? So this time my husband wanted glasses matched to his eye condition rather than just going by design.

During the consultation, they carefully checked what he needed based on his eye condition and recommended products accordingly, which built a lot of trust. It never felt like they were pushing the priciest option — instead they helped him weigh several choices and pick what actually suited him, so I could decide without any pressure ><

We also read a booklet on how to protect kids' eye health :) Our son read it eagerly too haha

After a short wait, my husband's glasses were done!!!!!!! We came this time just for his glasses, and the whole process, from consultation to selection, was so carefully handled that I was really satisfied. We only got his glasses done this time, but I already know I'll come back here next time I need new glasses myself ><
