When our order arrived, the spread was seriously generous!

Mince curry rice set, 23,000 won: what you get and how it tastes

First, the mince curry rice set comes with rice topped generously with rich, savory mince curry, freshly fried crispy handmade tonkatsu (including cheese katsu), salad, wasabi, and salt.

The meat was thick inside the crispy coating, so even just a light dab of salt or wasabi brought out incredible flavor.

The cheese katsu is piled with stretchy, savory cheese — visually a total win!

Cheese katsu piled high with cheese

There's a huge amount of cheese, and since it's natural cheese it's soft and stretches beautifully, which made eating it even more fun.

The mince curry is topped with garlic flakes and scallions, and mixing it all together gave a sharp yet deep flavor that was just artful.

The curry flavor is deep but not spicy, with almost no strong spice smell, so it seems like a dish everyone — kids included — could enjoy.

Above all, the portion is huge~ if you order a set, it's tough to finish it alone haha. But it's so good you just keep eating.

What comes with the mince curry udon set at 22,000 won?

Next up was the mince curry udon set!

Eating curry udon while pairing it with crispy handmade sirloin tonkatsu turned out better than I expected.

Sirloin katsu: nuttier the more you chew

The sirloin katsu's standout charm is the firm, chewy texture you feel through the crispy coating. With every bite, the savory flavor of the lean meat and just the right amount of juice spread through your mouth, giving a classic yet satisfyingly hearty feel. Add a touch of sharp wasabi or dip it in alkaline salt, and the meat's natural sweetness and savoriness are maximized — you can enjoy it cleanly to the very end without getting tired of it.

Tenderloin katsu that melts in your mouth

The tenderloin katsu boasts meat so tender and moist it practically pulls apart along the grain! One bite and there's zero dryness — just a soft, pleasant chew. Being low in fat, the flavor is very clean and light, making it a dish anyone, young or old, could enjoy without hesitation. Dip it fully in the sweet-and-tangy classic tonkatsu sauce, and the crispy coating combined with the tender, juicy tenderloin creates a fantastic combination.

The chewy udon noodles were beautifully coated in the mince curry sauce with ground meat, and slurping them down felt amazing.

Rice comes standard with the set too, so mixing it into the leftover curry sauce left me stuffed to the brim in the best way.

Cheese katsu with a cheese waterfall

Eye-catching from the moment it arrives, the cheese katsu is packed with chewy mozzarella cheese inside a thin layer of meat. Fresh out of the fryer, the cheese stretches long, and its savory, salty flavor fills your mouth. The crispy coating, the chewy bite of the meat, and the soft embrace of the cheese come together as the textbook definition of crispy-outside-tender-inside. Pair it with tonkatsu sauce or sharp wasabi to cut through the richness of the cheese, and you can enjoy it deliciously down to the last bite.

The free king shrimp tempura from the owner

The owner gave us shrimp tempura as a free service, and it was quite a treat too~ so delicious!^^

The crispy king shrimp tempura, dipped in tartar sauce, was crispy-outside-tender-inside itself!
