Why I chose Vivienne Hair, a hair salon in Sangnam-dong, Changwon

With a Cebu trip coming up, I was torn between a root touch-up and a full color when I stumbled across a matte brown color on Instagram and just fell for it.. I looked up hair salons in Changwon's Sangnam-dong right away and, after seeing decent prices and reviews, booked through Naver Reservations and visited Vivienne Hair, Changwon Sangnam branch!

Since it was my first visit, I didn't have a designated designer, but when you book as a Vivienne director appointment, they match you accordingly! And there was a first-visit 20% discount going on too..👍🏻

Where to park in Sangnam-dong: Real Parking Lot support

I visited by car, and while the salon building does have parking, it's small, so it turns out they can support parking at Real Parking Lot?! Parking is always a bit of a worry wherever you go in Sangnam-dong, so having parking support was such a relief. After parking, I headed to the salon!

The Sangnam-dong intersection is a spot anyone from Changwon would know.. there's a big sign, so I found it right away!

Inside Vivienne Hair: atmosphere and space between seats

Walking in, the whole place felt bright and clean, and best of all, the space was wide, so the distance from other customers felt pretty generous! I always preferred one-person salons, so this part really won me over!

After a short wait, I was guided to a seat by the window with a great view!

Red-tone consultation and the matte brown coloring process

My hair had a lot of red tones left over from an earlier brown dye, and I really wanted to get rid of that redness completely. The designer checked my hair condition thoroughly and kindly explained the color options, so I could trust her with it!

Before the treatment, they even prepared drinks and snacks for me..🫶🏼 She kept checking in on me the whole time to make sure I was comfortable, which I really loved?

The Sangnam-dong salon applied the dye so carefully, and honestly I've never seen a designer with such quick hands before,,👍🏻 After applying the dye and waiting a bit, I went to get shampooed — personally I love getting shampoos at salons, and this one was so refreshingly done that it was amazing haha. The dye was rinsed out thoroughly too, and the shampoo and finishing steps were done neatly.

Matte brown color result: did the red tones disappear?

Even the final blow-dry was done meticulously, and look at how the redness is completely gone and the hair is settled into matte brown.. exactly the feeling I wanted!! I especially had a specific style in mind and was worried about how it would turn out on my hair, but I really didn't need to worry at all…

What made it even prettier was that the color looked slightly different indoors versus in natural light. It's not too flashy a color, so it's easy to wear daily without pressure, and my roots had grown out quite a bit so I was worried the tone wouldn't match overall, but the moment I saw it dry, I was totally satisfied,,🤎 Just changing my hair color seemed to shift my whole vibe too, so it was a successful mood reset!

This was the first time I've been this satisfied visiting a hair salon in Changwon, so I took a photo just to make sure I wouldn't forget the designer.. Facilities, the designer, everything was satisfying, but do you know the price was reasonable too..

The cut prices were reasonable too, so I really hope everyone gets to visit.. so grateful a salon like this exists in Sangnam-dong..
