Sangnam-dong hair salon layered cut and C-curl perm: Vivienne Hair

This time I went to get my hair done in Sangnam-dong, Changwon! I visited Vivienne Hair, Changwon Sangnam branch, which is right in the heart of Sangnam-dong so it wasn't hard to find at all haha. I got to visit through Superchart this time, and I came back with pretty hair and a proper mood reset after way too long 💕 So here's my review of Vivienne Hair, Changwon Sangnam branch, a hair salon in Changwon!

Where is Vivienne Hair, Changwon Sangnam branch, and how do you get there?

Vivienne Hair, Changwon Sangnam branch is on the 2nd floor of the Moise Building! Looking at the front of the building, it's right above Apgujeong Dwitgogi on the 1st floor, so even first-time visitors should be able to find it without much trouble haha.

Once you go inside the building, you just take the elevator up to the 2nd floor! There was a price list posted in front of the elevator, and I noticed a 20% first-visit discount for Naver Reservation bookings too 👀

Once you get to the 2nd floor and walk in, Vivienne Hair is right there! You can see straight into the interior from the entrance, and it looked bigger than I expected, so I found myself taking it all in even before I stepped inside haha.

Inside Vivienne Hair: salon atmosphere, seating and the shampoo room

Once I got inside, the salon was genuinely spacious and clean! It was done up in white and gray tones overall, giving it a clutter-free, tidy feel, and the spacing between service stations was generous so it never felt cramped ✨ With the floor-to-ceiling windows, plenty of natural light came in during the day!

Each service seat had its own big mirror! There was enough space between seats too, so I could get my hair done comfortably haha.

On one side there was a separate shampoo room with several chairs set up! The whole place was well organized, which gave a clean first impression right away 👍

Looking further into the salon, the space was even bigger than it seemed at first! Besides the service areas, there were also spots to wait in between, giving the whole place a relaxed feel.

Near the entrance there was a separate waiting area with seats! With the white tones and plants placed around, it felt clean and calm rather than the usual busy salon vibe haha.

A price list at every seat

Every service seat had a price list placed right there! Prices for cuts, perms, coloring and clinics were all laid out clearly at a glance haha. The price is always the thing I'm most curious about before visiting a salon, so having everything openly listed like this — no need to even ask — was another thing I really liked 👍

Hair before the service: long hair neglected for years

This is a photo taken the day before the appointment! I used to have a regular salon I'd gone to consistently for years, but after the designer I always saw left, I kept putting off finding a new place, so my hair just kept getting neglected ㅠㅠ Before I knew it, it had grown long, and blow-drying was taking longer and longer, so caring for it started to feel like such a hassle... It already had a layered cut, but no perm, so when I let it down it looked messy overall, and the ends were really frizzy and damaged 😭

How the layered cut and C-curl perm were done

Before starting, the stylist looked at my current hair condition and we talked through how to proceed! We decided to keep the length from shortening too much while re-shaping the existing layers nicely and doing a C-curl perm at the same time haha. She started by trimming the damaged ends and re-cutting the layers! Even before the perm started, my hair looked much neater once the layers were re-shaped without cutting much length overall ✨

Softener twice, with 15 and 10 minutes of heat processing

Since my hair hadn't had a perm in a long time, she said it needed to really absorb the solution! After the first shampoo, she applied softener and did about 15 minutes of heat processing, then applied softener again for another 10 minutes of heat processing haha. She broke it down into more careful steps than I expected!

During the service, she brought me drinks and snacks too haha.

After the second shampoo, she rolled up the ends of my hair and did 15 minutes of heat processing to set the curl!

After the setting process, she carefully straightened the top layer of hair section by section with a flat iron! It was a process of keeping the C-curl at the bottom while smoothing the top neatly haha.

My determination to somehow hide my puffy face...🤣 After flat-ironing the top layer, she sprayed the neutralizer evenly all over and let it sit for a bit!

Finally, the last shampoo...!!! She gave me a massage at the end too, and I genuinely glimpsed heaven for a moment lol. I hadn't slept well that day and was so tired, but the massage just melted the fatigue right away 🤤

The finished C-curl perm: how much easier is daily styling?

Ta-daaa!!! Seriously 100000% satisfied 👍 I didn't get a photo while drying it, hahaha, but she said all I need to do at home is just dry it fully! My hair used to eat up a whole hour of blow-drying and flat-ironing every time, and now it's basically been resuscitated...🥰 Applause 👏👏👏

I got my service from Director Chaeha!! She probably worked harder bringing my hair back to life than I did just sitting there, but she thanked me for putting up with it, which made me even more grateful!! Thank you so much for making it look so pretty, hehe (●'◡'●)💕

After the service, they gave me a 2-hour parking discount voucher along with a shampoo to use after the perm haha. She said to use it for hair care at home haha. I made sure to grab that too 😁

My hair had been neglected for years, but after the layered cut and C-curl perm, the overall style got so much cleaner 💗 The C-curl falls naturally along the layers, so it doesn't make my face look boxed in, and there's more volume overall, which I liked even more haha. Best of all, since all I need to do at home is dry it thoroughly, styling should be way easier going forward lol.
