Jeonju financier café for chewy honey rice cake: Ppajak Financier Bar

I headed to Jeonju with the Turtle family for our summer vacation~~ and brought home financiers from Ppajak Financier Bar (빠작 휘낭시에바), a fabulous Jeonju dessert spot, as a Jeonju gift set!!

I bought them as gifts, but they were sooo good that I had one at Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal, one on the bus, one at Central Terminal... and somehow there were none left...

Ppajak Financier Bar, a Jeonju dessert café known for financiers, is honestly enchanting the second you walk in!!!

Wow, seriously~~ these crisp baked treats~~ I already love financiers, but the name Ppajak literally evokes that crispness, and this texture is insane!!! I’m losing it@@@

But this !!!!!honey rice cake!!!!! financier was chewy-chewy and ohhh, insane. The owner must have studied abroad—they are seriously devoted to baking!!!

And how are there this many flavors? Chocolate for chocolate lovers, !!!salted chocolate!!!—there was so much variety that choosing was half the fun!!! They also have the currently hot !!!yellow cheese!!! flavor. Picking and packing them all up is pure happiness~~

!!Fig cream cheese!! !!Chewy cookie!! Classic is the best!! The candied sweet potato was so gorgeous. I’m sooo glad we came at the end of the trippp.

Right here~~ It’s close to Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal, so it’s perfect for picking up as a Jeonju gift set or Jeonju souvenir on your way home!!!

Hours are 09:00–18:30, and it’s closed every Monday and Tuesday, so keep that in mind~

There’s free parking for about one car in front of the shop too~ I took a taxi and picked mine up across the street, and briefly stopping there wasn’t a problem!!

Inside is even prettier!! Wow, financier-crazy Turtle King had never seen so many crispy, chocolate, and chewy financiers, you know?? There’s so much to look at!! And have you seen the Hermès financier bag??

You can apparently book a Jeonju one-day class too, which sounds like such fun! It’s close to Jeonju Hanok Village as well, so give it a try! You can make one of 11 signature financiers from Quiche de Lorraine, and Turtle King wants to try it next time!!

You can also reserve a whole quiche (a French home-style pie)! French home cooking, wow!!

PS. This suddenly reminds me of my old math teacher, Eunggalchi, begging us to please eat more slowly, hahaha—like French aristocrats~~ hahaha. Teacher, are you doing well??
