Where do you park at Gankeun Galbi in Igok-dong?

Today I visited Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch, a well-known spot in Daegu's Seongseo area! There's a parking lot right under the restaurant, so I could park easily and walk right in haha.

All-you-can-eat menu options and prices

We went with pork ribs + pork belly (Gangbongsu, domestic) for two! I heard the makchang is good too, but my boyfriend and I aren't really into makchang haha.

Inside the restaurant: window seats and the kids' playroom

Walking in, I loved that the window wall was a full window — so we grabbed a seat right by it haha. We went around 3:30pm on a weekday, so we could eat at a relaxed pace.

Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch, a favorite in Dalseo, Daegu, has a kids' playroom too! ★ A family came in while we were eating and their kids were so happy — they went straight for the playroom before even eating, haha.

What's on the all-you-can-eat self-bar?

There are all the side dishes you need for BBQ: lettuce wraps, pickled vegetables, sliced onion, chili-garlic mix, ssamjang (dipping sauce), pickled aster stems, pickled radish, kimchi, and scallion shreds!

Here's the main meat corner! Pork ribs, pork skin, gizzards, pork belly (domestic), and makchang. Next to it are pink salt, flower salt, bean powder, and curry powder for dipping.

There's also a corner for tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), croquettes, pork cutlet, and yangnyeom chicken (sweet-spicy fried chicken)! When we first arrived they were nearly out, but staff refilled them quickly haha. Note that yangnyeom chicken isn't out at lunchtime — it comes out around 5pm.

There's also seaweed soup, ramyeon (Chapagetti, Jin Ramen), eggs, tteokguk rice cakes, scallions, fruit cocktail, potato salad, king oyster mushrooms, and bracken fern.

The dessert corner has three-color ice cream, snow bingsu, drinks, and coffee.

How the pork belly and pork ribs tasted

Pork belly (domestic). We started with pork belly first! The meat-to-fat ratio was just right, so it was really tasty.

We wrapped it in lettuce and also just dipped it in salt plain. The quality was really good for all-you-can-eat pork belly.

Pork ribs. Pork ribs are a menu everyone loves, young and old haha. There's plain white rice on the self-bar too, which goes great with them!

The pork ribs were super tender and not overly sweet — a nicely balanced sweet-and-savory flavor! My boyfriend went and found ribs still on the bone and grilled them for me haha.

We also tried the chicken gizzards — the crunchy texture was fun and the flavor was similar to the seasoned ribs!

The pork cutlet and tteokbokki came out freshly made quickly, so we got to enjoy them warm and tasty ><

We also tried the yangnyeom chicken — the sauce tasted like a seasoned sauce mixed with a bit of ketchup.

Dessert: milk snow bingsu from the bingsu bar

Dessert is a must~~~~ even when you're full, there's always room for dessert, right? This is what washes away all the greasiness~~~ The milk snow bingsu was delicious even just topped with red beans! The milk ice wasn't too sweet and the red beans were sweet enough that it had a faint Vivivic (Korean ice pop) flavor to it.

At the end, when paying at the counter, there are also Haribo gummies — you can get them by participating in the review event.
